Jackie Mckown is a Toledo, Ohio native who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University located in Bowling Green, Ohio, in 2013. She is currently working on her Master of Humanities in Art and Visual Media at Tiffin University, located in Tiffin, Ohio. The art mediums she enjoys using are printmaking, oil paint, watercolor, acrylic, and ink. She also is a sculptor and works in mold making, carving stone, and resin creations. She enjoys working on art with science fiction and fantasy themes influenced by her mixed Peruvian and European cultural heritage. She is also influenced by science fiction and fantasy pulp magazines from the 1960s-80s. Her work reflects mystical worlds, dimensions, and people with hints of the occult and magic.
