Happy Monday! Today's may give you a clue about the subject of tomorrow's post... This is a watercolor painting done by Atlanta Sampson. She was born in Mower County and began painting the things she saw around her family's farm. She was eventually "discovered" as a mature artist and went on to realize her dream of putting on a solo art show. This particular painting is from a series called "Provincetown" - she studied art in Provincetown, Massachusetts in the 1950's while living in New York City. Her time in New York City inspired her to create colorful and abstract paintings.
