Just opened a glaze kiln. Had to wait for a repair in the kiln plug. It shorted out on a bisque fire. Luckily no fire and the bisque got to about cone 07.

A lot of holiday ware in this kiln. The gnomes are going to be turned into bells. The one I tested rings better than I expected. Very happy with it.

I’m so excited about the pieces that came out of the decal firing. The decals are commercially available from Elan Transfers. Each piece was fired to bisque. Then they were glazed and fired. The final step was the decal application and a final firing.

Jasper’s urn is now ready for his cremains. He died this April and we decided to cremate him. It was very meaningful and helped with my grieving process to create this urn for him.
