Many of you who follow this page are friends on my personal profile and know what I've been going through over the past month or so. But for those who don't know, the White Noise studio - aka my garage - caught fire about 5 weeks ago and I lost everything. I had a YouTube channel called Droid Workshop that despite my best efforts, I now no longer have access. But when things get back to normal - and we got some news yesterday that is really awesome towards getting to that point - I'm going to be restarting the Droid Workshop and using this page, since it already exists, to do all the extra postings and behind the scenes from my builds.

I have not decided yet if I will change the name of this page to reflect using it for Droid building, but I'm honestly excited about what the future holds and being able to completely rebuild my original shop and make it more conducive to making videos, not just producing droids but possibly other projects as well.

White Noise Entertainment and the Droid Workshop may be down, but we're not out. We will be back, and we will be better than ever. To quote the great Samuel Jackson from Jurassic Park -

"Hold on to your butts..."

Not much going on right now...except building a new astromech droid!

I'm slowly putting one together and will be documenting it both on the website and YouTube with a multi-part series. I'm bringing back my "Instructional Videos for Shinies" and will be highlighting the good and the bad of building this prop. But I'm not stopping there...

I also have plans to build a second updated GNK and I'm also looking at a Pit Droid...and possibly, someday, maybe even a BL-series Protocol Droid.

But more on that as I get to it. As my wife says...one project at a time...

Oh, yeah...and video stuff. Every build will be filmed and put together in an instructional way to help future builders with tips, tricks, and methods. I'll be relying on the expertise and advice from other builders who have come before me.

So...who wants to build a droid? Or two? Or more?
