This past week has been difficult for the whole Reelfoot Arts & Crafts family.

We are saddened to announce the passing of longtime President, Michael Powell.

For more than 50 years, Michael gave his time, energy, and heart to the festival. Long before many of us became involved, he was working behind the scenes to help make the Reelfoot Arts & Crafts Festival the special event it has become. Year after year, he was there; planning, organizing, problem solving, and always doing whatever needed to be done.

Michael loved this festival and the people who make it possible. His leadership, friendship and dedication have left a mark that can never be replaced.

Thank you, Michael, for over five decades of faithful leadership and for helping build a festival that has become a treasured tradition for so many. Your legacy will live on every Fall as the festival continues to welcome vendors and visitors to Reelfoot Lake.

Please join us in sending our deepest condolences to Michael's friends and family during this difficult time.
