Learning to swim is essential to the safety of children. 🏊‍♀️

We’re teaming up with the New Jersey Recreation and Park Association (NJRPA) for their Bathing Suit & Goggle Drive by being an official drop-off location.

New bathing suits and goggles can be dropped off at Fort Monmouth Recreation Center, Tinton Falls, through August 15 to help give kids the first tools they need to learn to swim. 🩱🩳

We're currently in search of lifeguards for our outdoor pool! Lifeguards maintain safety through enforcement of pool rules and regulations as well as chemical testing and tracking of results, inspecting the facility, and reporting any potentially unsafe conditions.
Candidates must be 15 years of age or older and have Certification in Lifeguard Training (or enrolled in a Lifeguard course), CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, and be able to swim with proficiency and endurance.

The Monmouth County Park System's Winter Parks & Programs Guide is now available in most Monmouth County parks and online at www.MonmouthCountyParks.com. Be sure to check out all of the Rec Center's winter programs, including Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt, The Power of Play, Cast Iron Skillet Cooking, Rock to Bach - Guitar, Gentle Aerobics, Indoor Winter Volleyball League, and so much more!
Registration for winter programs begins at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9.

Our Story

This site was acquired from the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) and includes the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center - a 21,000 square foot building that is the Park System's first ever indoor recreation facility. Perfect for an array of programs including arts & crafts, sports, exercise classes, and special events, the Rec Center offers a wide variety of amenities including classrooms, gymnasium, and a game room.

The site offers a wide variety of programs and summer camps as well as drop-in activities and events.
