WOW. 🤩
Recital was almost two weeks ago, and I’m still riding the rush of adrenaline. Every year, these dancers amaze me. Backstage is calm, collected, and organized… and then they step under those stage lights and become absolutely electric.
My backstage crew is the best a girl could ask for. They are kind, dependable, and willing to do whatever is needed. If backstage was chaos, you’d see it on stage and because of them, everything runs seamlessly.
Our theme this year was Pages to Stages, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. It was nostalgic, creative, and a beautiful reminder of how talented our staff is. The imagery they create through choreography continues to impress me year after year.
Tomorrow, I get the unique opportunity to perform in my hometown studio’s 30th recital. I was in Zoe’s very first show, and she taught me so much about recital flow, organization, professionalism, and how to showcase dancers at their very best. Thank you, Zoe, for continuing to inspire me as I learn and grow with every recital.
As a studio owner and dance mom, it can be hard not to focus all my attention on my own children during recital weekend. But watching from the wings is truly the best seat in the house, and I don’t think I could ever give it up.
Congratulations to every dancer who gave their heart to the stage during Pages to Stages. It was beautiful. 🩷
And just like that… we’re already dreaming up next year’s recital.
