Muse Catchers

Muse Catchers Artist Duffy Roodenburg creates Muse Catchers from the strings of musical instruments with the intention of building a deeper connection with the Muse.

The strings of musical instruments are comprised of a variety of metal alloys, making them difficult to recycle. By winding and weaving the used strings of guitars, basses, banjos, mandolins, pianos, or any other instrument we can get the strings from, we create a deeply unique item: The Muse Catcher. Muse Catchers are available as pendants and other wearable art, to be hung as decoration on walls

, in windows or, more traditionally, over your bed to inspire musical dreams. In addition to our efforts to collect strings though a network of local guitar shops, we also welcome any and all donations of old strings. If you have a collection of your old strings or would like to start a collection, donating them to our supply of materials will earn you a significant discount on your purchase of a custom woven dreamcatcher made of the very strings that you've played your favorite songs on! Each I Dream of Music dreamcatcher is a handmade, one of a kind item made of an inconsistant variety of reclaimed materials and therefore they possess the qualities of such - perfection does not exist and no two dreamcatchers are identical, even in a pair of earings. We are still developing our organization, but if you are interested in placing an order or making a generous donation of strings at this time, please contact us by email.
