Kate Wilen is Hope Cladwell!
With an even mix of acting and directing, this is Kate’s 11th production with TRCP! She’s been performing since she was just four years old, which means she’s been doing this for 20 whole years!
One of the things Kate is most excited about with Urinetown is the COMEDY! She says the entire team, especially director Eathan Bingaman, has put so much love into making this ridiculously funny show come to life!
When she’s not at the theater, Kate is an improv, sketch, and stand-up comedian (in that order!) and performs with her group, Canned Ch*****ne! She’s also recently been hired as the theater director at Three Rivers High School and can’t wait to work with the students on their upcoming production this April!
In her free time, Kate loves reading scripts, watching movies, working out, waitressing, and spending time with friends. Fun fact: A majority of her D&D group is involved in Urinetown in some way!
When asked if she has anyone to thank, Kate said: “My friends & family, for supporting me in every theatre & comedy adventure I’ve had the pleasure of going on, this incredible cast and crew for creating this beautiful family, and, of course, my cat, Mister Mistoffelees.”
Kate’s dream roles include Sally Bowles in Cabaret and literally anyone in any Lewis/Shields/Sayer play!
Come see Urinetown!
