We didn’t manage to get a single picture!

We wrapped up a great 1st Gymkhana today! A huge thank you goes out to Daniel J. Flores for use of his beautiful new arena. Renegade Racing for the water truck, Circle M Smoke Pit and Catering for the incredible food, VFW Post 10254 Three Points AZ & Jason Khalaf who has been working his butt off the make it come together, plus the volunteers who helped today.

We will have more events planned between the 2 arenas. So follow these pages for upcoming!!

We had an excellent day of play at the arena today! The weather was beautiful and it made for a relaxed, fun event for everyone who came out.

A few thank-yous are definitely in order:

• Jason for getting the arena area built and ready
• Andy for dragging the arena with his tractor
• JJ for helping with setup
• Gerri for putting together a shaded lunch area
• Julie for the pattern printouts
• Circle M SmokePit for the incredible food
• Mike and the kids for their generous donation from their keychain sales

It truly takes a team to make these days happen, and we appreciate everyone who stepped in to help make it such a great day.

Creativity is not an easy thing for me, shoot, I’m not even sure what that actually means?!?! Maybe the concept of coming up with something? I’m hardwired to see things from point A to B, and that’s precisely when I short circuit myself.

I’m not saying it’s a bad thing because there are plenty of objective things in photography, like DoF, Exposure, inverse square law, etc where I feel like this critical thinking is needed, and I love those because they’re honest, they don’t change.

But when it comes to making images, I need to see what’s looking at me…so, I start chasing light again and let that lead the way.
