Conejo Recreation and Park District To enrich the quality of life for our community by preserving & enhancing recreational opportunities

The Conejo Recreation and Park District is a public service agency created by the people through the use of government structure for the purpose of providing recreational opportunities for all citizens, educating for the proper use of leisure time, and conserving the recreational resources of the area. The District operates several community parks and centers, neighborhood parks, special facilitie

s, special recreation units, and thousands of acres of open space. As an arm of the government, the major responsibility is to serve as a catalyst for community effort by employing the tools and powers of the District, promoting inter-agency cooperation, and constructing and operating facilities which are beyond the reach of individual or private organization effort. The District complements private or commercial recreation efforts and conducts its business in a manner that flows in and around these efforts to provide the community and the individual with a complete set of recreational opportunities.

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets, then sit back and relax to the sounds of summer! A variety of gourmet food trucks and dessert trucks will be on-site with delicious options available for purchase. 🍔🍦

⭐ Arrive early for the best lawn seating!
🧥 Jackets or sweaters are recommended as temperatures often cool later in the evening.
🚗 Off-site parking only; on-site parking is reserved for vehicles displaying disabled parking placards until full.
🐾 Please leave pets at home.

🚚🎉 We had a wheel-y great time at Touch-A-Truck! 🎉🚚

Thank you to everyone who rolled into Thousand Oaks Community Park for a day full of hands-on fun, exploration, and community connection. Families had the chance to climb aboard, honk horns, explore heavy equipment, and get an up-close look at the vehicles that help keep our community moving every day. 🚜🚛

From excavators and dump trucks to specialty vehicles and interactive activities, the fun stayed in high gear all day long. The balloon drop was a crowd favorite, and we loved seeing so many smiling faces behind the wheel. 😄🎈

A special thank you to our event sponsor, Athens Services, as well as our vehicle exhibitors, volunteers, and staff who helped steer this event to success.

🐾 CRPD’s Therapeutic Recreation participants enjoyed a fantastic day at the Santa Barbara Zoo!

The group spent the day exploring the zoo, visiting exhibits, and seeing a variety of amazing animals. Some of the favorites included the gorillas, lions, monkeys, and leopard. Along the way, participants enjoyed time with friends, a snack upon arrival, and lunch before heading home.

The trip provided a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, learn about wildlife, and create lasting memories. It was a fun-filled day full of adventure, laughter, and new experiences for everyone involved.
