Open 12-5pm Saturday, June 20 with “Briarfinch” playing original and classic newgrass on the Punch Stage 3-5pm. Olympia, Washington-based Briarfinch combine bluegrass, jazz, rock, classical, and Irish music into a tightly woven newgrass machine.

In the Punch Gallery, join us for the continuation of “Memberabilia” featuring a large selection of multi-disciplinary works from dozens of PUNCH members. This annual show is always diverse, delightful and full of surprises. For starters there’s a wolf utopia paint-by-numbers, a Kool-Aid coleoptera and a cat planter that doubles as a perfect Tw***ie tray. There are portraits of at least one evolutionary father-figure, along with works that reveal some of his wildest premonitions. Contemplate the macaroni mandala or have a quiet moment w/ any one of the Madonna and child motifs curiously and coincidently explored in this show. There are collaged collages, abstract abstractions and book art for all the bibliophiles. Feast your eyes on metal art that simply rocks and a sculpture that is so metal that it would make Rob Halford blush. And as a perfect tie-in to the soon-to-be-transformed PUNCH dive bar, we have numerous water-themed works including an unreliable life preserver and action painting of cliff jumping shenanigans sure to invoke stomach butterflies.

Not to mention, we’ve got beverages and snacks in the Punch Snack Bar.

Plan to arrive early for a good seat!

Open 12-5pm Saturday, June 13 with “Fog Holler” playing bluegrass + newgrass on the Punch Stage 3-5pm. Looking promising that we’ll be outside!

Fog Holler

Inspired by a range of influences from The Stanley Brothers to Buck Owens to Meshuggah, Fog Holler breathes fresh life into well worn forms like the murder ballad and the power waltz. Described by two-time Grammy Award Winner Cathy Fink as “The next generation of the many shades of grass”, Fog Holler’s captivating tunes and coordinated outfits are quickly enthralling longtime bluegrass fans and newcomers alike.

So, pop on in this month for a fantastic survey of work by our supportive members. This annual show is always diverse, delightful and full of surprises.

Open 12-5pm Saturday, May 16 with “Tyler berd” playing indie-folk on the Punch Stage 3-5pm. In the Punch Gallery, join us for the continuation of “Friends of PLAYA” a multi-disciplinary exhibition of works by friends new and old who have shared in the experience of PLAYA, an artist retreat Center in south-central Oregon.

Portland, OR’s Tyler berd fronts the band bellwire and has toured his solo act around the country, performing sad, funny songs on a nylon-string guitar. His solo act is sly and surreal, and owes a lot to Neil Young, Jonathan Richman, and the poetry of Charles Simic.
