Just an hour-and-half east of Seattle, PUNCH welcomes the local community and visitors from around the world to join us for art exhibitions, live music, film screenings, and other arts-related productions.

Open 12-5pm Saturday, August 22 with “Dandelioness” playing gothic Americana witch-pop on the Punch Stage 3-5pm.

Albuquerque-based songwriter Chloe Grace is known for her radioactive falsetto and visceral, hypnotizing stage presence. Her achey-hearted americana sensibility mutates into infectious pop riffs, glittering with autotuned vocoder and underscored by spiraling patterns of fingerstyle guitar. Growling, crooning, generally in an outrageous getup, “Dandelioness” gives a vulnerable and playful show, resulting in a southwest soft gothic americana witchpop that opens portals to other dimensions.

The work in this exhibition explores how Western and classical narratives have shaped ideas of power, labor, gender, and belonging, reimagining these inherited stories through care, embodiment, and material practice.

Together, Sweet and Hopkins create a dialogue between classical ideals and Western mythology, offering a vision of the West rooted not in dominance or nostalgia, but in relationship, tenderness, and the possibility of new forms of kin.

In the Punch Gallery, join us for the continuation of the “Unbridled” exhibition, bringing together the work of Daphne Sweet and Charlie-Anne Hopkins to examine the landscapes, mythologies, and cultural inheritance of the American West. The work in this exhibition explores how Western and classical narratives have shaped ideas of power, labor, gender, and belonging, reimagining these inherited stories through care, embodiment, and material practice.

Daphne Sweet’s paintings draw from classical art history and personal allegory, reworking familiar motifs through bold color, ornament, and layered symbolism. By reclaiming the female figure from the historical male gaze, her work transforms classical imagery into a visual language of agency, presence, and abundance.

Charlie-Anne Hopkins approaches the Western landscape through lived experience with horsemanship, land stewardship, and material practice. Their work reinterprets Western iconography through care, labor, and ecological attentiveness, challenging narratives of conquest while exploring relationships between bodies, land, and inheritance.

Together, Sweet and Hopkins create a dialogue between classical ideals and Western mythology, offering a vision of the West rooted not in dominance or nostalgia, but in relationship, tenderness, and the possibility of new forms of kin.

And in the Punch Yard you’ll find Monica Miller and her pop-up mug shop to celebrate the completion of the Que Rico mugs she made for her dad In honor of his passing. Que Rico means how delicious or how lovely and he used to say it when he was enjoying something - mostly food! In the Punch Gallery, join us for the closing weekend of the “(Art)ifacts” exhibition, a survey of strange and curious items. There will be bonafide extra-terrestrials, curious cloth dolls, detritus from historic East Germany, taxidermied dinosaurs, candy molds, a carpenter’s rule, love letters, concert handbills, retro toys and other childhood miscellanea. Also, you should expect to see a smattering of obsolete technologies, Chinese art supplies, dice, mementos from America’s favorite pastime, a mummified skunk, Antarctic rocks, old boots, a yanked bicuspid, an egg of unknown origin, bottled apparitions from the historic West and a vintage 1978 Battlestar Galactica Ovion 4” plastic figure.

Come and experience the menagerie of artifacts and ephemera cobbled together by the PUNCH crew for your viewing enjoyment.

Open 12-5pm Saturday, June 27 with Bellingham’s “Blue Collar Grass Band” playing bluegrass + newgrass on the Punch Stage 3-5pm. In the Punch Gallery, join us for the final weekend of “Memberabilia” featuring a large selection of multi-disciplinary works from dozens of PUNCH members.

You’ll find a wolf utopia paint-by-numbers, a Kool-Aid coleoptera and a cat planter that doubles as a perfect Tw***ie tray. There are portraits of at least one evolutionary father-figure, along with works that reveal some of his wildest premonitions. Contemplate the macaroni mandala or have a quiet moment w/ any one of the Madonna and child motifs curiously and coincidently explored in this show. There are collaged collages, abstract abstractions and book art for all the bibliophiles. Feast your eyes on metal art that simply rocks and a sculpture that is so metal that it would make Rob Halford blush. And as a perfect tie-in to the soon-to-be-transformed PUNCH dive bar, we have numerous water-themed works including an unreliable life preserver and action painting of cliff jumping shenanigans sure to invoke stomach butterflies.
