Art has always been a part of her life. Drawing was the first of many art forms that caught her attention from a young age. Over the years, photography and dance took the spotlight. In the year of 2000, Melody first started taking dance lessons. Falling in love with the art, she continued on for years to come. She proceeded to dance for over ten years which included four years of mentoring and ins
tructing classes and becoming the stage manager for several shows. Melody always had a passion for photography; however, it wasn't till the year 2010 that she seriously wanted to make photography a life style choice. She began the journey by taking a few workshops in downtown Denver such as digital photography 101 & 201, photographing children and wedding photography where she acquired the knowledge of the technical aspects of photography. She began to learn functionality of the camera and how to catch emotion and a sense of story in her shots. When Melody started attending Red Rocks Community College for professional photography; her eyes started to open up more to the art form of photography. Enjoying the artistic background, she wanted to learn more. With an immense amount of passion, Melody decided to explore all styles of photography. Whether it is traditional processing, digital, wedding photography, fine art, or still life; she added each style to broaden her horizon, knowing that variety was essential. Although it is important to have a diverse knowledge in photography; Melody also realizes it is more important to become a professional you must find what makes you unique as an artist. And find your own home and style in photography. Photography is much like life in that it is a journey. Finding the right path and home in photography is what Melody searches for. We all must become masters of our craft, regardless of what we choose.
