The Groove Music Hall is part of the Dominion Raceway & Entertainment Complex located in Thornburg, VA. This new, mid-sized music hall is located at exit 118 off I-95, one exit south of Fredericksburg, VA and just 35 minutes north of downtown Richmond, VA. The Groove offers a wide variety of live performances including comedy, plays, and music of all genres.The Groove Music Hall is located on the
first floor of the main building at Dominion Raceway. Free onsite parking and ample handicap parking is available close to the entrance. Our ticket office is located on the corner of the building, facing the parking lot, right beside our main entrance into our lobby.The main room seats up to 500 people and can hold up to 600 people for a stand-up show. The Groove can also be arranged into smaller configurations when necessary. The Groove utilizes a 32 x 24 stage with state-of-the-art audio and lighting systems. The second floor of main building at Dominion Raceway is where you’ll find The 118 Bar & Grill, a full-service restaurant, and bar.The 118 Bar & Grill will be open 4 hours before every show and will stay open late after most shows. We offer a wide variety of beverages for purchase inside The Groove and food and drink may be taken freely throughout the building, including during performances.The Groove Music Hall is also available to rent for weddings, corporate meetings, banquets, and parties. We also offer smaller rooms on other floors of the building as well as The 118 Bar & Grill, which can be rented for private events.
