2 races to go, and anything can happen. So lets break it down for your Light 160 class of 2026.

Maintaining his lead, and extending it by just 2 points, is Reid. That means its just an 8 point split from 1st to 2nd. And that 2nd place driver Grant, is NOT going to let this one slip away from him that easy. Expect to see these 2 battling it out on track to decide your Light 160 Champion. Your 3rd place driver is KJ who is 57 points behind Grant. Just 20 points out of the top 3 is Joey who moved from 5th to 4th. Look only 1 point back and you will find Jackson who slips from 4th to 5th. Nobody can rest on their performance in this class, Landin has closed his gap to 5th place from 19 to just 12 points. Rounding out your Light 160 class in 7th, is Liam with yet another podium the gap to 6th has gone from 15 to 9.

So what does it all mean? This class will prove to be one of the most intense battles. With leaders breaking away and battling for the championship, with 3rd through 7th all within a gap that would be easily surmounted to gain positions. I don't know about you, but I will be eyes glued to the track watching that one play out on Sunday. 2 races, and loads of points available, it could be anyones position when the checkered flag falls.

Senior Animal is a class that is in tight contention.

First place belongs to Grant! With 2 points races to go, theres only 42 points back to Reid who has been on a roll. Reid moved up from 3rd place to 2nd with another win under his belt. Will he have lady luck on his side as he pushes to go for the championship in the last 2 points races? Slipping back to 3rd is Michael who now needs to close a 12 point gap to get back to 2nd place. Just 14 points back is your 4th place driver Joey. Sliding up one spot to 5th is Landin and moving from 7th to 6th is Liam. Sliding backwards 2 spots is your 7th place driver KJ.

There is a heated battle for your top positions and every race matters. Who will we crown a champion this year? Who will take that 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place position? Its all going to start shaking out this Sunday at Little T!

We might need to fire our social media guy, he took too long to update you all on the points! So expect alot of updates today before we head into points race 9 this weekend!

First update, your Junior Animal standings.

What can we say about Axel, other than absolute perfection. Count them... 7 wins, and 1 second place finish. Domination is an understatement. 60 points back is Niko in 2nd place at 217 points. In 3rd place just 6 points back from Niko is Garrett! Hot on Garretts tail is Cara with a 6 point gap to make up. In 5th place with a 30 point lead is Chase with MJ hot on his tail. You will have to travel 53 points back to Hayden in 7th. Which is a testament to how competitive this class is. Hayden missed the first 2 races of the year, which is quite literally the gap he would need to make up to 6th place.

Nothing is settled in this class other than your leader Axel. Every other position has a battle that you will not want to miss this Sunday!

And here it is! Your Points race 8 Senior Honda update!

It would not be much of a surpise if I told you KJ won again this week! That is now 7 of 8 points races he has won! Extending his lead to 15 points over 2nd place Michael! He is hot on Kjs tails and just looking for some luck to help close the gap in the last 2 races. Not much breathing room behind to Teo who sits in 3rd with a 30 point deficit. Your 4th place position belongs to Jackson. You will have to travel 42 points back to get to Jesse in 5th. Just 12 points back from there is Dillon in 6th. Falling to 7th after his second consecutive dropped race is Grant with Mason hanging onto 9th.

What amazes us the most, is the consistency. If you watch these cars on track every week, you will always find a heavy battle for every position, and it usually shakes out somewhat similar to their standings for the points... That is, unless something interesting happens in the next 2 points races. Join us to find out!

Points Race 8 is a wrap for the Norfolk Auto Inc Junior Honda Class.

The chase for the championship is getting tight. With only 2 races left, Jack leads by only 24 points over Cara. What was 27 points has cut to 24, but is there enough time and points to close out the year with the Championship for Cara, or will Jack carry the crown?

You could quite literally throw a blanket across the entire 3-6th place runners. Leading the way by 4 points is Garrett in 3rd. Hot on his tails is Axel in 4th having a massive comeback from missing the first two races of the year and leap frogging 2 positions this week. And just 4 points back from there, another big mover, MJ grabbing 2 positions this week as he clutches his first Junior Honda win! Niko finds himself just 7 points back from MJ in 6th. Chase slides back 2 positions from his tie for 5th to 7th this week with just 1 point separating him and Niko. And just 2 points behind Chase is Koda sliding from 4th to 8th place. Your 9th place driver is Hayden with 10th going to Logan and 11th belonging to Dakota!

Only 2 races left to crown a champion. Who is it going to be? And where will the rest of the points settle out to. 18 points separate 3rd to 8th. 5 drivers fighting every lap for the next 2 races to settle the score. Join us on August 30th for points race 9 to see where it all shakes out!
