Come join us Downtown Thomasville NC this Friday night for a free evening that is full of America 250 NC fun for everyone!!!

As The Dispatch of Lexington reported, “The fourth annual PAINTED PIANO FESTIVAL will be held this Friday, May 1, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Downtown Thomasville.

The festival is celebrating the America250 anniversary with pianos painted with images that include the Liberty Bell, the Statue of Liberty and an eagle.

More than 60 pianists, from beginning piano students to concert level, plan to play.

Arts Davidson County will have an art tent and a children’s tent, and there will be a live public community mural painted on a storefront.

There will be Disney princesses and patriotic music by Kallie Potter, Miss Thomasville, and Olivia Williams, Miss Teen Thomasville 2025, as well as Kate White, Miss Thomasville 2023.

Kona Ice, Elizabeth’s Pizza and Sissy’s Lemonade will be on-site.”

🍿🎥🍿 In addition, the classic Americana movie NATIONAL TREASURE will be shown for free outside at PACE Park at 8:00. (Feel free to bring a blanket or your own chairs or use the provided bench seating.)

Admission to all events, including the Movie in the Park, are FREE!!! (Food and vendor purchases are optional.)

Sixty musicians playing six pianos painted with scenes from America’s 🇺🇸 history, Davidson Arts NC Artist Association, Plein Air artists and local talent doing live art.
