This past week, our ballet teachers had the incredible opportunity to participate in the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum in New York City!
Throughout the week, we dove deep into the fundamentals of ballet technique and explored how to thoughtfully progress dancers from level to level. Being surrounded by so many passionate teachers left us inspired and reminded us why we do what we do. It’s all for the kids!
While in the city, we also had the chance to see several incredible performances. As we left the theater each night, we were reminded that the arts provide something truly special. They provide a place to escape, to dream, and to step into another world. That is the power of dance and the performing arts. We are so lucky to be able to bring that to our small town.
We are so grateful to South Georgia Ballet for investing in its teachers by providing this opportunity. We can't wait to bring everything we've learned back to our students to continue the growth of our company and dancers. We’re excited for all that's ahead!

As the new season approaches, we encourage you to enroll your dancer in elective classes that will support their growth throughout their dance journey!
Jazz and musical theater are excellent classes for building stage presence, musicality, and power. These styles encourage dancers to develop versatility and let their personalities shine on stage.
If your dancer meets the age requirements, we encourage them to step outside their comfort zone and give these classes a try. They offer a fun, energetic environment where dancers can grow as performers!

As the new season approaches, we encourage you to enroll your dancer in elective classes that will support their growth and development throughout their dance journey.
Pre-Company is a wonderful opportunity for dancers to experience what class as a company dancer is like. Through this class dancers build independence, develop strong classroom etiquette, strengthen their discipline, and expand their ballet vocabulary in a focused environment.
If your dancer meets the age requirements, we encourage them to give Pre-Company a try! It’s a great way to explore whether company is the right fit for them and will give them excitement for what could lie ahead!

We are fortunate to offer aerial arts and acro at our studio. These classes help improve flexibility, strength, and body control.
If your dancer meets the age requirements, we encourage them to step outside their comfort zone and give these classes a try. They may discover a new passion while gaining valuable skills that will benefit them across all styles of dance!
