I received probably close to 20 comments on this photo on Facebook (which I’ve deleted) specifically criticizing us about how we’re mistreating records by stacking them. I can promise you that they were in this position for less than five minutes during transportation and a quick photo.

Ordinarily I let comments like these slide, however today I wanted to share the reminder that what you see in a still shot does not always give a full representation of reality. I’m also not one to perfectly stage photos so what you see is what you get! And this is how these records arrived in our shop yesterday.

The best haul of all time (or close to it). There is no possible way I could express to you the collection we just brought into the Clocktower. There’s EVERY Zappa record, tons of Blue Notes, Buckingham / Nicks (two copies!) so much new wave and alternative rock and reggae, foreign pressings / bands, and dozens of cool looking records with amazing artwork we’ve never seen before. And you must see The Smiths I placed in front 😉

There’s 1,000 records here and we looked through each one tonight, estimating that about 70% is highly valuable and desirable.

We’ve got our work cut out for us but wow. We’re about to learn a lot. What a score. Best ever we think. 😎

Okkkkk 🧛 Funk Night meets Halloween for Funk Fright Night and we’re really excited. Delighted, really.

We’ve sold out every time we’ve hosted this event so be sure to snag your ticket ahead of time. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

We created the kind of night we wished existed and we love getting to share it with you. Groovy beats, cool lights, and all your funky selves coming together. We’ll be playing the likes of Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Ohio Players, Prince, Chaka Khan and more.

Complimentary soft drinks will be available.
Kids of all ages are welcome, free of charge, with an accompanying adult.

For our special Halloween Funk Fright Night we encourage you to wear a costume and we’ll be handing out prizes!
