After an incredible Mountaineer Days weekend, our small but mighty volunteer team finally had a chance to catch our breath!

Now that the dust has settled, we just want to say thank you to everyone who made Mountaineer Days 2026 so special. To our sponsors, craft and maker vendors, food vendors, entertainers, parade participants, and everyone who came out to celebrate with us—you are what makes this festival possible.

Thank you for supporting our community, making wonderful memories, and helping us celebrate together.

🎆 Great news, Mountaineer Days fans! 🎆

The Thomas Volunteer Fire Department has confirmed that the weather is looking favorable for this evening, and the fireworks will go on as planned! 🇺🇸✨

The celebration is still going strong! Be sure to stop by the Mountaineer Days festivities in downtown Thomas and be sure to head down to the Railroad Grade, where some of our craft and food vendors are still set up and serving throughout the evening.

Grab a bite to eat, enjoy the festival atmosphere, sing along to live music from Max Alan, Noah James Music and Philip Bowen and then cap off the night with an incredible fireworks display.

We look forward to seeing everyone for a fun, safe, and memorable Independence Day celebration.

🎉 Today is the day! 🇺🇸⛰️

Mountaineer Days 2026 is officially underway!

Tucker County Young Life has already kicked off an incredible morning with their 2K/5K walk and run, vendors are setting up along the Railroad Grade, and downtown Thomas is coming alive as we celebrate the Fourth of July and America’s 250th Birthday together.

📻 Join us beginning at 10 a.m. for a live radio broadcast with our friends at 98.9 WDNE as we bring you all the excitement, interviews, and festivities happening throughout the day!

There’s something for everyone all day long:
🎨 Browse dozens of local artists, makers, food vendors, and community organizations.
🎈 Let the kids enjoy inflatables and the Bicycle Decorating Contest starting at 10 a.m.
🇺🇸 Don’t miss the hometown parade at noon.
🍰 Join the Cake Walk at 1:00 p.m.
🎶 Enjoy an incredible lineup of FREE live music featuring BIG DADDY LOVE Acoustic Trio, Heather Hannah, Max Alan, Noah James Music and Philip Bowen!
🎆 Cap off the celebration with the 69th Annual Fireworks Display, brought to you by the Thomas Volunteer Fire Department!

Last, but certainly not least, we're excited to announce the final musical act for Mountaineer Days 2026 - BIG DADDY LOVE Acoustic Trio!

Known for their signature blend of rock, roots, bluegrass, and soul, Big Daddy Love has built a devoted following throughout Appalachia and beyond with a sound they proudly call "Appalachian Rock."

We're thrilled to welcome the Acoustic Trio to Thomas for a special performance as part of our Fourth of July celebration in the mountains.

With this announcement, the Mountaineer Days 2026 music lineup is officially complete, and we can't wait to share an incredible weekend of live music, community, and mountain tradition with all of you!
