3. PacWest Motocross Series
4. Agency for SX/MX Pro rider, Austin Forkner
5. Event Director for Freestone Raceway that included: 1. James Stewart Spring Championship, 2. AMA Womens Motocross Cup, 3. FMF Texas Winter Series, 4. FMF Texas Nigh

t Series, and 5. the AMA Pro National.
6. RPM, a WERA affiliate for the South Central region of the US.

We will rebuild and we will go racing. As many have likely heard, Riverside Raceway and the Winterset, IA community was hit extremely hard by a tornado. Owner, Tony Wenck’s home and acreage that neighbors the track was completely flattened, and the track buildings ranged in damage from a total loss to salvageable. Thankfully, Tony and his family are able to walk away and rebuild.

When asked about how people can help, Tony expressed gratitude to the community’s willingness, “I don’t have a GoFundMe or Venmo. We are going racing. If the race was tomorrow we’d figure it out and go racing. People can support the rebuilding process by coming down the driveway and supporting the events. Let’s make this the biggest year ever, help us by reminding us exactly why we run the race track. The playground is still there, the track is just dirt. That is our style. Let’s pack the place this year and in two years you’ll never know it happened.”

In the meantime, cleanup work at the house is nearing completion. If you’re a carpenter, your help is in demand as rebuilding begins. We may schedule a volunteer work day in the future to help prepare for the Easter weekend kickoff as race track cleanup hasn’t begun - details will be released if we go that route.

Support Riverside Raceway by coming to enjoy the best dirt on the planet. It’s still there and we are going racing!
