It's and we are highlighting the gallery's talented clay artists all week long!!

Carol Berger -
Upon retirement in 2008 from a career as a full-time classroom teacher, we relocated to Texas to be near our grandkids. I took a ceramics class the following year and thus began to fulfill a lifelong dream with a second career as… an artist! I continue to take, as well as teach, ceramics. Inspiration comes from everyday life with a focus on environmental issues.

It is a blessing to participate in the area art communities where I belong to Clay Houston, Women in Visual and Language Arts and the Visual Arts Alliance. In addition to attending informative workshops there have been opportunities to have work juried into shows and seen by a wider audience.

I equally enjoy hand building, wheel throwing and altering clay. My work includes both decorative and functional forms perfect for home décor and gifting! The pieces can be seen at Archway Gallery in Houston, Ardest Gallery in the Woodlands, the Gallery at the Madeley in Conroe, various markets and expos, and by appointment at my studio.
