“Glazing and Layering with Success” featuring: AMACO Mid-Range Glazes
EZELL REGIONAL RECREATION CENTER
PALMER LEGEND’S ROOM
Wed., Jan. 17th 1:30-5:00pm
Thurs., Jan. 18th 9am-5pm
Fri., Jan. 19th 9am-5pm
Village residents are invited to join Ezell Clay Works Club for a 3-Day Glaze Workshop sponsored by AMACO featuring Potter’s Choice, Celadon and other cone 5-6 glazes.
Learn application techniques, newest glaze colors, how to choose the best clay body for your pottery projects, as well as pick up brochures on layering results. Demonstrations will include applying and layering glazes, along with specialty techniques such as Mishima, Stencils and Sgraffito. Participants should bring five -
small bisque pieces (no more than 5-6” tall, 4” wide), a fan brush or two, a notebook, a name tag, and a bag lunch on the full days. Due to limited kiln space, we will try to fire at least one piece per attendee, which will be available at the last session.
Registration is required prior to this event. The fee is $100pp. Seating is limited and tickets are sold on a first-come first-served basis. No seats will be sold on the day of the event.
If you are interested in attending, please complete the form below along with a check payable to EZELL CLAY WORKS CLUB and stop in the Craft Room at Ezell Regional Recreation Center during Ezell Club hours (Wed./Thurs./Friday from 1:30-4:50pm.) to register and select a seat. If you have further questions, please call Carl Johnson, Leader at (231) 392-5163 or e-mail Vicky McMenemy at [email protected].
