Hey BTC… if you’re missing barbershop, check these guys out!

HELLO!! We're SO excited to announce the new beginning that is Prism!

We are a group that aims to foster a diverse and inclusive community of young singers that achieves a high-level of artistry in the barbershop style through love and joy.

How did we form?
The majority of us spent our time at Harmony University in the Next Generation Barbershop Chorus program, where we spent a week building life-long friendships and a culture of artistry that we knew we couldn't leave in New Orleans. With the momentum we already had going, we collectively decided to take what we learned and share it with the rest of the Barbershop community!

So... What's next?
We've set our sights on competing! The Town North Plano chapter has very graciously adopted us and our vision with such a support that we will forever be grateful for. So catch us at DFW Airport at SWD fall convention, the 6th-7th in October!

Everyone-

I hope you’re all doing well. I am writing to let you know that Legacy of Harmony voted last night to create a Next Gen chorus- mixed voices ages 17-30. The core group of members emerged from Harmony University a couple weeks ago. They will communicate on a platform called Discord.

District convention is Oct 6-7 inside the DFW airport at the Hyatt Regency. Your first in person rehearsal will be 10/5. We have a virtual chorus that uses this format and they qualified for and went on to International competition!!! So, it works, as long as you do your part at home!

LoH dues are $25/mo for members 25 and under; over 25 is $50. If dues are a problem, please chat with our director, Dan Rohovit (pronounced Roh vit) and the board will discuss.

As a bonus, you’ll also be members of Legacy of Harmony and we’d LOVE to have you sing with us on Monday nights 7-9p in Plano.

Anyone wanting to join the chorus just needs to send Dan an email and he can refer them to how to do so. Dan Rohovit is your contact and is included in this email

Met up with Brooke this evening while I am on vacation in FL. She’s doing GREAT! She’s doing an internship where she gets to monitor baby sea turtles! She showed me lots of videos of the cuties making it to the water!

It was GREAT seeing her and hearing all about her new job. I’m so proud of the young woman she’s becoming!

Neither of us thought to take pictures 😢

It is with heavy heart that we share the news of Karla Natividad’s passing. Karla was an integral member of our chorus for several years. Her voice was angelic.

Please keep her family in your thoughts.

She was 17. 😢💔

Karla Aracely Natividad 17 went to be with the Lord Friday May 13, 2022 in The Colony TX. She is survived by Father: Carlos Alberto Natividad, Mother: Aida Araceli Natividad, Brother: Jorge Sanchez, Sister: Maria Sanchez, she will be deeply missed by family and Friends
