Highlighting some of the wonderful choreography from our 2023 Summer Season. That year included many amazing works, such as:

Adulting by alumni choreographer Tiana Ayala (2018/2019) with music composed by Anna Young.

A Tribute Dance by YDC alum Noele Philips (1997/1998), with music by Woolkid and featuring Jennifer Connelly.

Clue by Alyssa Martin, a 1950s murder mystery with a twist with music composed by Clifton Anderson.

On Alice Teirstein’s birthday, we celebrate the founder of Young Dancemakers Company and the legacy she built through creativity, generosity, and unwavering belief in teen artists.

Her spirit lives on in every dancer who steps into the work.

Young Dancemakers Company (YDC) is a tuition-free summer dance program for NYC public high school teens who want to create original choreography, explore meaningful themes, and perform on stages across the city.
If you’re passionate about dance, curious about making your own work, and ready for an unforgettable summer of growth, collaboration, and performance, we’d love to have you. 💫

Big news! 🌟 Milton Myers joins YDC as our 2026 Repertory Guest Artist.
This season we dive into Seasonal Fire, with support from Charles Scheland ().
