CALLING BRONX BASED ARTISTS!

We’re hosting a group pop up exhibition on the 26th of this month with the theme of Black Excellence & Celebration and we include a new artist.

If you’re a Bronx Based Artist and you have work that fits the theme & you would like to exhibit your work on that day DM us your interest in participating.

It’s limited space available and fcfs so if you don’t get picked for this one it’s okay, there will be more opportunities.

Daughtrey’s work explores the human experience as a form of reportage history, portraiture, and psychology.

Many of Val’s work incorporate Augmented Reality so it’s something you have to see & experience in the space.

The Coalition for Immigrant Freedom, also known as the Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights (NMCIR), is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 to educate, defend and protect the rights of immigrants. Recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Coalition is committed to expanding access to legal immigration services, participating in policy making and community organizing.

Most of the individuals who walk through the doors of the Coalition are low-income, non-citizen immigrants from the Caribbean, Latin America, and increasingly, Africa and the Middle East. Some have lived in the U.S. for decades, others are recent immigrants. The Coalition is often their first entrée into accessing legal aid or basic social services.

The Coalition Educates, Organizes and Defends the immigrant community with the following issues:
Family Reunification
Citizenship
Family Based Petitions
Deportation
Civic/ESL

Q - What made you want to become an artist?
A- STRUGGLE. I started off as a muralist for a summer job and as soon as I put the Utrecht “Brillint Blue” on a white wall I knew this was for me.

Q - Is there anything you would like people to know about you
A - I’m an artist, but I’m creative directing what I call my life .
