Counting my blessings today, because I almost lost my little man. ❤️🐾

Benji—aka Benji the Butthole—is only 3 years old, and what started as a UTI turned into something terrifying.

I had already taken him to the ER, spent around $1,200, and started him on five medications. He seemed like he was getting better, so when he started grooming again, I figured I’d take him to his regular vet after work the next day.

But that morning, something felt wrong.

I watched him struggle in the litter box for about 15 minutes without being able to p*e.

That’s when I knew.

I called out of work, grabbed his carrier, and took him in immediately.

And thank God I did. 😭

Benji was completely blocked. The veterinarian said placing the catheter was one of the more difficult cases they had encountered.

If I had waited until after work, things could have turned much worse—serious kidney damage or even death.

Right now, Benji is hospitalized and will be there for a few days. I have no idea what the final bill will look like, and I know recovery may be a challenge in a multi-cat household.

But honestly?

None of that matters right now.

He’s alive.
He’s getting treatment.
He’s going to be okay. ❤️

Sometimes we don't realize how quickly a normal day can turn into an emergency.

So today, I'm not thinking about the money or the stress.

I'm just grateful I noticed.

Grateful I trusted my gut.

And most of all, grateful that my little pain-in-the-butt is still here. 🥹🐱❤️

👇 If you've ever had a pet emergency that made you realize just how precious they are, tell me their story.
And please give your furry babies an extra cuddle tonight. 🐾❤️

Do other cats have this perfect little rim of blood vessels around their ears, or is my kitty just extra special? 🥹🐱❤️

I noticed it for the first time and now I can’t stop looking at it. The tiny veins tracing the edge of those ears look almost like someone carefully drew them there. 🥺

Maybe it’s completely normal for cats… or maybe my baby just has the cutest little ears in existence. 😂🐾

Either way, I’m obsessed.

Does your cat have this too? 👀👇
Drop a photo of their ears in the comments—I need to see! 😻❤️

Marble kept his promise. ❤️🐾

He was supposed to make it to 10.

After everything he had been through—kidney failure, urinary problems, crystals, UTIs, anxiety, pillow foot, and more vet visits than anyone would ever want for their baby—his human fought for him every single time.

Three years ago, when Marble was critically ill in an oxygen tent, there was a promise made:

“Stay with me until you’re 10.”

He almost made it.

Born October 1, 2016, Marble passed suddenly at 3 a.m., just weeks before his 10th birthday. There was no warning, no chance to prepare, and no goodbye.

But maybe there is another way to look at it.

He kept his promise.

He gave almost 10 years.

Almost 10 years of following his person from room to room.
Almost 10 years of sunny naps and wet noses.
Almost 10 years of belly-up attention, head bunts, high fives, and sleeping beside his favorite pillow.
Almost 10 years of loving everyone he met.

And perhaps most importantly, almost 10 years of being deeply, completely loved. 🖤

There are always things we wish we had done differently after losing someone we love.

I should have played with him more.
I should have spent more time with him.
I shouldn't have complained.
I should have made more space.
I should have known.

But grief has a cruel way of making us measure a lifetime by the things we think we got wrong.

Marble didn't measure his life that way.

He knew the person who fought for him when others thought it might be time to give up.

He knew the person who took him to the vet, paid the bills, worried over him, slept beside him, made sure he was comfortable, and loved him through every difficult chapter.

And that awful comment made the day before?

It did not cause his death.

You were frustrated. You were human. You were talking about a future you assumed you would have together. You did not summon this, cause this, or kill him with your words.

Please don't let one sentence erase nearly 10 years of love.

Marble's story isn't about what you failed to do.

It's about everything you did to keep him here. ❤️

So yes.

Round him up to 10.

He kept his promise.

And somewhere beyond the pain, I hope you can imagine Marble stretched out in a patch of warm sunshine, face resting against his favorite pillow, smelling like maple syrup and sunshine, waiting for you the way he always did.

Until then, hold onto the memories.

And hold your babies a little tighter tonight. 🐾🌈

Rest peacefully, Marble. You were loved. You were worth fighting for. And you made it. ❤️

My Kevin was everything to me

My cat died this morning at 2:06am. Kevin was my best friend, an old guy who lived a street life until he showed up at my door a few years ago. I loved him deeply and he has been my constant shadow since the day he walked in. He was fine and then less than 30 minutes later, he was gone. I’m absolutely gutted and just needed to get it out. The pet mortuary just came and picked up his tiny body for cremation.

Our first picture… and our last picture together. 💔🐾

21 years.

That’s how long I got to love my best friend, Grandma Shadow. 🖤🐱

I was only 10 years old when she came into my life back in 2005. I had no idea then that this little cat would grow alongside me and become such an important part of my life.

She was there through childhood, growing up, all the changes, the good days and the difficult ones.

For 21 years, she wasn't just my cat.

She was family. She was my comfort. She was my best friend. ❤️

Two days ago, I had to say goodbye.

Even though I knew that day would eventually come, nothing could have prepared me for how empty everything would feel afterward. 💔

Looking at these two pictures—the first and the last—feels like looking at an entire lifetime in between.

So many memories.

So many ordinary days that I never realized would become precious memories.

And so much love.

I would give anything for just one more day with her.

But if love could be measured in time, she gave me 21 beautiful years.

Thank you for growing up with me, Grandma Shadow. Thank you for being my best friend.

I'll miss you for the rest of my life.

Until we meet again across the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🐾🖤

Our home is finally complete again. 🥹🐾❤️

After losing our beloved 22-year-old cat in April, the house just didn't feel the same.

We knew exactly what was missing.

But grief takes time, and we weren't ready to open our hearts again right away. 💔

Then I found this beautiful little litter online.

I told myself I would just look…

But somehow, I couldn't bear to separate them.

So now, our quiet house is gone—and in its place is chaos, tiny paws, zoomies, cuddles, and so much life. 😂🐱❤️

Each one has such a different personality, and watching them grow more confident every day has completely filled my heart.

Meet the four little souls who have brought life back into our home:

🐱 Inanna — the clever tabby girl. Hunter, leader, and future ruler of the world. If she ever grows thumbs, we're all in trouble. 😂

🖤 Hecate — independent, playful, and an adorable little troublemaker. A tiny sausage with murder mittens. 😹

🖤 Nyx — the smallest little black girl and an absolute angel. She has apparently never done anything wrong in her entire life. 🥹

🖤 Erebus — our sweet black boy with the tiny white patch. Total mama's boy and professional cuddle monster. ❤️

Our old girl will never be replaced. She has her own forever place in our hearts. 🌈🐾

But these four have reminded us that loving again doesn't mean forgetting.

Sometimes, after heartbreak, life finds a way to fill the empty spaces with something completely unexpected.

And now our home is noisy, messy, chaotic…

and absolutely full of love again. 🥰🐱🐱🐱🐱

3 Years Later… 🥹🐾

A little over three years ago, my wife and I came home and heard the tiniest cry coming from the bottom of a trash can we kept outside for sticks and yard debris.

We looked inside and found a tiny kitten down there. 🐱💔

We think his mother had placed him on top of the sticks, but somehow he had wiggled his way all the way to the bottom.

I named him Rocket.

And somehow, that tiny, helpless kitten has grown into this handsome little troublemaker. 😂❤️

Three years later, he still has the attitude of a teenager and the prey drive of a cat who never forgot where he came from. He'll chase anything that moves and keep everyone on their toes. 😹

But honestly?

I wouldn't change a thing.

What started as a tiny cry from the bottom of a trash can turned into a lifelong friendship and a beloved member of our family. 🏡❤️

Sometimes the best family members are the ones you never planned on finding.

Rocket found us—and three years later, we're still incredibly grateful he did. 🐾🚀

She looks pretty smug for someone who just cost $2,700 at the emergency vet. 😂🐱💸

This is my 12-year-old girl, Holly. ❤️

She has diabetes, and recently she went dangerously hypoglycemic. Watching her go through it was honestly one of the most terrifying experiences I’ve ever had with an animal. 💔

We rushed her to one emergency vet, and from there she had to be transferred to a 24-hour veterinary hospital.

After all that fear, worry, and a $2,700 vet bill…

Look at her now. 😂

She looks absolutely proud of herself, like she personally planned the entire adventure and has no regrets whatsoever. 😹👑

Thankfully, Holly has made a full recovery. ❤️‍🩹 She’ll continue being monitored and cared for by her regular veterinarian to manage her diabetes.

The bill hurt.

The sleepless night hurt.

But seeing this little face looking completely unbothered afterward?

Worth every penny. ❤️🐾

👇 Has your pet ever scared you half to death and then acted like absolutely nothing happened? 😂

Tell us your “emergency vet bill” story—and send Holly some ❤️ for making it through. 🐱💕

Twin souls who couldn’t stay apart—even after death. 🖤🐾

My cats weren’t identical twins, but they were inseparable. They did everything together. They slept together, followed each other everywhere, and even when it was time to use the litter box, they somehow had to be side by side. ❤️

Three days ago, one of them suddenly passed away from what we believe was a heart attack. He was only 1 year and 2 months old. It happened so suddenly, and he was alone in his room. I keep thinking about his final moments and wondering if I could have done something to save him. The guilt has been unbearable. 💔

His twin was devastated.

When I buried his brother, he stayed beside the grave and barely wanted to leave. He became unusually quiet, as if he knew his best friend was gone.

Then, almost two days later, something heartbreaking happened.

That morning, his twin was sleeping peacefully on my chest. I even laughed to myself because I thought, “For once, I woke up before him.”

But when I tried to wake him…

He didn’t move.

He had passed away peacefully in my arms. 😭💔

I don't know how to describe the pain of losing one cat for the first time, only to lose his brother just days later. I feel completely broken.

The day before the first one passed away, I had even bought new toys for them. I was so excited to watch them play with them.

Now the toys are sitting there untouched.

But after I buried my second baby and returned to my room to mourn, something happened that I can't explain.

Two pairs of birds landed in the exact spot where my cats always used to lie together. 🐦🐦❤️

I've always been someone who looks for logical explanations. I've never really believed in signs or things like that.

But in that moment, I couldn't help thinking…

Maybe somehow, they came back to say goodbye.

Maybe I'm just grieving. Maybe I'm in denial. I don't know.

But I choose to believe that my two boys are together again somewhere, playing with each other like they always did. 🐾🌈

The photo was taken just one day before the first one passed away, right before I bought their new toys. The black cat's fur was patchy because he had once gotten caught in a rat trap, and I had to shave the affected area to free him.

They were only here for a short time.

But they were loved every single day.

I hope wherever they are now, they found each other again. And I hope they're still sleeping side by side. 🖤🐱🐱🖤

What is happening to my cat’s eye? 🥺🐱

His eyes looked completely normal this morning, but by tonight, one of them suddenly looks very different. It’s also watery, and whenever he closes it, it takes him a while to open it again.

I’m really worried because this happened so quickly. 💔

I’m taking him to the vet first thing tomorrow morning, but I wanted to ask other cat owners—has anyone seen something like this before?

Could it be something serious, or possibly just irritation or an injury?

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. ❤️🐾
