Growing people and community through the Arts!

TRAHC is a people-building and community-building organization – a leadership organization of arts and ideas that works to create an energized, creative, connected community. Formed in 1978 by community leaders with generous assistance from the Junior League of Texarkana, TRAHC’s goals were to protect, develop, take advantage of, and provide all citizens with access to our own cultural resources.

As we have progressed, the “arts” have also proven to be a wise economic investment as well as a tourism stimulus. TRAHC is both a presenter and a preserver of historical legacies for the Perot Theatre and the Regional Arts Center. The guiding principals of TRAHC are:

TAAC, TRAHC's African American Committee, will host a fundraiser that showcases the cultural history and significance of hats in African American male fashion. The inaugural event in 2025 was an exciting and fun-filled event and highly suggested to return this year!

This fundraiser takes place on Saturday, July 18 from 6-8pm in Cabe Hall in the Regional Arts Center (321 W. 4th Street, Texarkana, TX 75501). Purchasing tickets in advance from a TAAC member is preferred, but may also be purchased with cash or credit card at the door.

The Student Juried Show is still running! Make sure you stop by and explore the wonderful pieces made by regional young artists. 🎨

The Regional Arts Center is open Wednesday to Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. This exhibit will close June 27, 2026.

In 1978, TRAHC was formed by community leaders and the Junior League of Texarkana with the goals to protect, develop, take advantage of, and provide all citizens with access to our own cultural resources. For the past 48 years, we have provided countless arts opportunities in Texarkana through workshops, performances, school outreach, and more! We are so grateful for our community for supporting us through the years. 🎂
