The Downtown Youth Theater

The Downtown Youth Theater The DYT is an all-inclusive community theater program. We have a place for you! The Downtown Youth theater was formed in 2006 by Forrest Garrett.

We strive to find a place in our productions for every person that comes to the audition, regardless of past acting experience. The Downtown Youth Theater is an outreach ministry of the Texarkana Parish of the United Methodist Church. “Oliver!” is the Downtown Youth Theater’s fourteenth production. Auditions for Downtown Youth Theater productions are open to anyone ages 9 and up, and we encourage

Hey, everybody! We're throwing a party at my house tomorrow at 7, and everyone should come! It's gonna be really fun. Then, me, Robin, and our friend James will be playing a gig at the Red Road Winery this Saturday at 7:30. So, come to the party tomorrow at 7, and then to the amazing show the next day at 7:30. I wanna see tons of people, so make an effort! See you guys there!

OK everyone! We will have a REHEARSAL tonight at 6 at ST. LUKE'S UMC. NARRATORS and PEVENSIES need to be there! We will go over blocking to Cold Fire from the Clouds, so make sure to remember lyrics! Thanks!

We've been looking over the audition forms and calling people for two days now, and we believe we've put together the best cast we could possibly think of. While some of you may think you got a small part, there are NO small parts. A play is about creating a picture, and each part is integral. We've put you where we think you could perform to the best of your abilities but also grow as an actor/actress, and ultimately as a person.
