What a great turnout for our Junie B. Jones The Musical Parent Meeting!
Thank you to all of our families who came out tonight! We are so excited to officially kick off our season with this production and Lend me a tenor! We are looking forward to a wonderful year and can’t wait to see what our students accomplish together!

In May, Tiger Theatre Company traveled to NYC🗽

While in the Big Apple, we had the pleasure of seeing 4 Broadway Shows! Including Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Two Strangers: Carry A Cake Across New York, The Outsiders, And Chess.

Huge thanks to,Tony Nominee, Nicholas Christopher from Chess for taking the time to take a picture with every member of our troupe individually at stage door.

We also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Daryl Tofa from The Outsiders, and Ben Ashcraft & Matthew Erick White from Stranger Things: The First Shadow. Thank you so much for sharing your time with us!!

Our Troupe also had the chance to take part of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting workshop while in NYC.

All around it was a fantastic experience for our students! See you next time New York City! 🍎🤍

Senior Spotlight: Nevaeh Marshall

Nevaeh Marshall has been a valued member of TTC for the past two years after moving from Georgia during her junior year, where she was already actively involved in theatre through numerous productions at her previous school. Since joining TTC, Nevaeh has made a tremendous impact both on and off the stage and proudly served as our ITS Troupe President this year.

Throughout her time with TTC, Nevaeh has brought many memorable characters to life, including Belinda in Noises Off, the Narrator in Charlotte’s Web, Curley’s Wife in Of Mice and Men, Molly in Peter and the Starcatcher, Eurydice in Hadestown, and Susy in Wait Until Dark. She also performed in the ensemble of Tarzan and served as Assistant Stage Manager for Winnie the Pooh, demonstrating her versatility and dedication to all aspects of theatre.

This year, Nevaeh represented TTC at Texas Thespians, earning a perfect score on her performance of On My Own from Les Misérables. Her outstanding performance received a Superior rating, and she will have the opportunity to showcase her piece at the national level.

In the fall, Nevaeh will attend Stephen F. Austin University, where she plans to major in Theatre Education.

We are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and cannot wait to see the impact she makes as a future theatre educator. Congratulations, Nevaeh! 🧡

Senior Spotlight: Ethan Collinsworth

Ethan Collinsworth has been an invaluable part of TTC for all four years of his high school career. Throughout his time with the program, he has taken on an impressive range of roles, including Wadsworth in Clue, Ratchett in Murder on the Orient Express, Templeton in Charlotte’s Web, Snipes in Tarzan, Lloyd in Noises Off, Curley in Of Mice and Men, Bill Slank in Peter and the Starcatcher, Dance Captain for Hadestown, and Roat in Wait Until Dark. He also appeared in the ensemble of Chicago and has consistently brought energy, dedication, and professionalism to every production.

When he’s not on stage, Ethan is always willing to step in wherever help is needed. From working with Morris Elementary to assisting behind the scenes, he has been a dependable and positive presence throughout his years at TTC.

This year, Ethan earned a Superior rating for his performance of “Epiphany” from Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and will be taking that piece to Nationals at the end of June.

Outside of theatre, Ethan was a member of The Tiger Band for many years.

This fall, he will attend the University of Texas at Austin to pursue a degree in Theatre Performance.

Congratulations, Ethan! Your talent, leadership, and commitment have made a lasting impact on TTC, and we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish in the future. 🧡

Senior Spotlight: Abigail Gold

Today we are celebrating Abigail Gold, a dedicated member of TTC who has been involved in our program all four years of high school!

Abigail first joined TTC as part of the makeup and costume crew for Clue before stepping into the spotlight as a member of the ensemble in Chicago,Tarzan, and Hadestown. She has also been a member of our Film class for the past two years and was part of the team behind Erasure, our Superior-rated film. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or behind the camera, Abigail has made a lasting impact on our department.

Outside of theatre, Abigail is involved in the Texarkana Youth Symphony Orchestra, Key Club, National Honor Society, and LitCrit UIL, showcasing her passion for the arts, leadership, and academic excellence.

This fall, Abigail will attend Texas A&M University, where she plans to major in Psychology.

Senior Spotlight : Lela Diaz DeLeon

Next senior spotlight is Lela Diaz DeLeon! Lela has been a part of TTC for the past two years, spending much of her time behind the scenes helping bring our productions to life. Whether she was assisting with costumes, makeup, or props, Lela has always been willing to step in wherever she was needed and help make each show successful. Her hard work and dedication behind the curtain have played an important role in so many productions during her time with TTC.

Lela’s creativity, reliability, and willingness to help others have made her a valued part of our theatre family. Even though much of her work happened out of the spotlight, her contributions never went unnoticed, and our department has been better because of her efforts.

Outside of theatre, Lela is also a member of the American Sign Language Honor Society.

This fall, Lela plans to attend Texarkana College where she will major in nursing.

We are so proud of everything she has accomplished and cannot wait to see all the amazing things her future holds. Congratulations, Lela!🧡

Senior Spotlight : Elliot Vance

Next senior spotlight is Elliot Vance! Over the past four years, Elliot has been an important part of TTC, dedicating countless hours behind the scenes to help make our productions possible. As a member of technical crew, Elliot worked on productions such as Hadestown and Tarzan, helping everything run smoothly backstage and making sure each performance came together successfully.

In addition to backstage crew, Elliot has also been a valuable member of build crew for many productions, spending long hours helping construct the sets and bringing each show’s vision to life from the ground up.

Outside of theatre, Elliot is a devoted cat lover and gecko enthusiast. He’s also known for his ever-changing hair colors, always bringing personality and creativity wherever he goes.

This fall, Elliot plans to go straight into the professional workforce and begin the next chapter of his journey.

We are incredibly grateful for the time, effort, and heart he has given to TTC over the last four years, and we wish him nothing but success in everything ahead!🧡

Senior Spotlight: Ava Harrison

Ava Harrison has been a dedicated member of TTC for the past two years. She worked on the costume and makeup crews for both Hadestown and Tarzan, helping bring each production to life behind the scenes with her creativity and hard work. Ava also appeared on stage as a bee in Winnie the Pooh and was a part of this year’s end of year ceremony.

Outside of theatre, Ava is a member of the Tiger Times Yearbook staff as well as the Tiger Times publications staff.

This fall, she will attend Stephen F. Austin State University where she plans to major in accounting.

Senior Spotlight: Ash Shuman

Ash Shuman has been a loyal part of the Tiger Theatre Company for all four years, dedicating countless hours both on stage and behind the scenes.

Audiences have seen him bring characters to life as Mr. Green in Clue, the Judge in Chicago, Mr. Webb in Our Town, and Mr. Arable in Charlotte’s Web.

Behind the curtain, Ash has been just as essential to the success of our productions. From swinging the overhead lights in Hadestown to working with costumes and props, he has done it all. His hard work and leadership earned him the title of assistant technical director on many of our shows.

This year, Ash also served as our Secretary of Advocacy, helping support and strengthen our department in countless ways.

Outside of theatre, Ash is a devoted hockey fan, cat lover, and passionate music enthusiast. He especially loves rock music, including the band Rise Against, and proudly knows the entire soundtrack of Operation Mincemeat by heart.

This fall, Ash will attend Texas State University where he plans to major in Technical Theatre Production.

We are so proud of everything Ash has accomplished and cannot wait to see all he does in the future.🧡
