Most people think blacksmithing is some mystical, backwoods art only done by bearded giants with forearms like tree trunks. It’s a craft. It’s learnable. And it’s one hell of a good time when you pair it with bourbon, cigars, and a group of folks who aren’t afraid to strike steel and make mistakes. Bourbon & Blacksmithing started as two guys in a forge — one w

ith 40 years of hammer-swinging experience, the other trying to soak it all in. Somewhere between the glowing steel and the clink of whiskey glasses, we realized we weren’t just making tools or art... we were building a community. Today, we teach beginners, inspire old souls, film our mess-ups and masterpieces, and remind folks that blacksmithing doesn’t require a pedigree—just a spark. We sell art by the pound. We measure time by the bottle. And we believe anyone can light the forge and join the fire.

TRAHC's metalsmithing class once again led by Jerome Legrand and Dennis Wicker is accepting new students! Have you ever wanted to create incredible metal sculptures utilizing metal working techniques? This class is for you!

Students will meet every Tuesday in a 6 week course between September 27- November 6. This course will be held offsite at Legrand Welding and Iron Works at 612 S Lelia Ave. All materials will be provided. Follow the link below to sign up and get more information!
