Didn’t get the best photos in the world of these but still wanted to show em off! These are designs from a book by a legendary man and I would love to do more stuff similar to this! Japanese is my absolute favorite tattoo style to do, it’s something I’m very passionate about. I don’t see many irezumi tattoos around Texarkana and I think we can change that.. “Gatsu” done with ink on 7x10in watercolor paper. Berserk gets talked about a lot more recently it seems, and it’s well deserved. A lot of manga and anime have begun to feel formulaic and predictable in a way so I’ve fallen off with them significantly, but I’m always struck by just how unique Berserk is. It’s complex, gritty, emotional, and a major inspiration for so many different forms of dark fantasy art. Every time I dive into it I’m driven to make some kind of art to express how it makes me feel. If you haven’t read it, you should.
