🌟 Feature Friday Spotlight! 🌟

Meet Kylee Rodriguez, a sophomore from Lebanon, IN, majoring in Mathematics and minoring in Spanish. Kylee is on the fast track with the master’s program and is already making waves in her second year with Campus Recreation as a Lifeguard and Certified Swim Instructor!

Kylee loves that she gets to do the same jobs here at ISU that she enjoys back home. When she’s not keeping our pool safe, you’ll find her relaxing, playing Nintendo Switch, watching movies, or experimenting with eye makeup. Fun fact: Kylee is half Puerto Rican and a proud pet parent to FIVE beagles—Bradley, Max, Sandee, Sherman, and Caliber! 🐶

Her go-to spot in Terre Haute? Penn Station for a tasty bite! If she could give her younger self advice, it would be: “Don’t let people who don’t respect you boss you around.” If she had a superpower, she’d control time to balance homework and sleep—relatable, right?

Kylee’s dream job is simple: something that makes her happy. And her favorite fall activity? Going on peaceful walks to enjoy the season.

Help us celebrate Kylee and all she brings to our Campus Rec family! 💙

Spotlight on Drew Tort, a senior majoring in Sport Management from West Lafayette.

Drew has contributed to Campus Recreation for 2 years, serving as both a Fitness Floor Attendant and an Intramural Official. He values the positive environment and the opportunity to work with great colleagues.

Outside of his role, Drew is involved as a practice player for ISU women's volleyball and participates in club men's volleyball. He is also an intern with the Colts event team. Drew's favorite local restaurant is Tacos Tequila, and he enjoys spending time with his cat, Miss Kitty.

His advice to his younger self is: "Don't be afraid to try new things and make mistakes; the only way to grow is through failure." If given a superpower, he'd choose teleportation. Drew aspires to own and operate a club volleyball organization and enjoys golfing in his free time.

What advice would you give your younger self? Let us know in the comments below!
