Press Release

Today, we were made aware of a serious incident that occurred at Wabash Valley Dragway. This was not a Wabash Valley Fair Association (WVFA) organized, sanctioned, or operated event. The event was independently hosted and conducted at the dragway.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by today’s incident. The safety of our community and our guests has always been our highest priority. The Wabash Valley Fair Association is committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment through family-friendly events that bring people together and positively impact our community.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the responding agencies for their professionalism and swift response, including the Indiana State Police, Honey Creek Fire Department, Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, and all other emergency personnel who assisted.

As this incident remains under investigation, we will defer any additional comments to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.

Together, let’s continue working to build a stronger, safer community.

We are wrapping up the final day of the fair, and what a wild, wonderful ride it has been! 🎡✨

Before the gates close and the lights go down, we want to give the biggest shoutout to the incredible Maya Snider . For weeks leading up to the fair—and every single day during it—Maya has been the voice behind our pages. She kept you informed, captured the best moments, and built up the hype that made this year so special.
