Students will receive individualized coaching on:
- Vocal presentation
- Staging their audition songs
- Cold reading techniques
- Audition preparation, etiquette, and confidence

Students must come prepared with:
• Two contrasting audition cuts (32 bars or less each)
• Two copies of the sheet music for each selection
• Songs should already be learned before camp begins.

This camp is designed to help students understand the audition process and build confidence before stepping into the audition room.

Campers will:
- Work with our directors to select one audition song
- Receive printed sheet music and a practice track to use over the weekend
- Practice cold reads from scripts
- Learn basic dance movements commonly used during auditions
- Gain confidence while learning what directors are looking for

Students should wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement and closed-toe shoes (or jazz shoes if they have them).

Why are both camps limited to just 20 students?

Our directors work individually with every performer throughout the camp, providing personalized feedback and coaching. To ensure each student receives the attention they deserve, enrollment is strictly limited and additional spots cannot be added.

Whether you're preparing for your very first audition or striving to make your next audition your best yet, these camps are a wonderful opportunity to grow as a performer and gain confidence before audition season begins.

What an incredible week at our very first Behind the Scenes Camp with Children’s Theatre of Terre Haute!

These campers truly put in the work and discovered just how much creativity, teamwork, and dedication it takes to bring a production to life. Throughout the week, campers created both individual and large-scale coral reefs to help fill our stage, assisted with costumes for the starfish, sea turtles, lobsters, sharks, and school of fish, built a major prop that plays an important role in the storyline, painted the “Pride Rock” of Finding Nemo (center stage and looking AMAZING), tie dyed and personalized camp shirts, designed lighting cues, and learned all about the magic that happens behind the curtain.

We are so proud of everything these young artists accomplished this week and cannot wait for everyone to see their hard work come to life on stage!

Join us Saturday, June 13 at 2:00pm or 3:30pm at 1203 Maple Ave for our performances of Finding Nemo Kids!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this camp experience possible. We learned so much from this first year and are excited to continue bringing more creative theatre experiences to Terre Haute in the future.

From the muddy magic of Shrek’s swamp to the bubbly streets of Bikini Bottom, Children's Theatre of Terre Haute is thrilled to announce our next two adventures: Shrek the Musical Jr. and SpongeBob the Musical!

These stories may take place in wildly different worlds, but at the heart of both shows is the same beautiful message: sometimes it takes the right friends beside you to discover who you truly are. Whether it’s an unlikely fairytale crew marching into Duloc or a sponge and his friends saving the ocean one laugh at a time, these characters remind us that friendship gives us the courage to believe in ourselves, embrace what makes us unique, and grow into who we are meant to be.

We cannot wait to take the young actors of Terre Haute on these unforgettable journeys filled with laughter, heart, adventure, and plenty of imagination. Get ready for a season where ogres, sea creatures, and lifelong friendships take center stage!

At the heart of our story is Alice, guided (and sometimes bewildered!) by a cast of unforgettable characters.
