Bring your guitar (or fiddle) with you! What began as a one-day party 27 years ago has blossomed into a great festival with musicians from all over Texas - and far beyond! Enjoy unlimited live music every night of the party, and feel free to join in! The fun officially begins this year on Wednesday Oct 13th, and continues through Sunday, Oct 17th. Many guests arrive early and make a week-long cele
bration out of it. But, it’s much more than just a music festival. Motels available in the area are generally inexpensive and clean (just in case you`re not interested in camping). The Easter Egg Valley Motel, the El Dorado Hotel, and Big Bend Motor Inn are available in the Terlingua/Study Butte area. There are several B&B’s available, too! The lodge in Big Bend National Park is a very cool place to stay, but is about 30 miles away from the action going on at the Terlingua Music Bash, and is more expensive. Bear in mind that October is the best time of the year to visit Big Bend National Park, just to the east of Terlingua! You can spend the day visiting, or hiking one of the excellent trails there! The scenery is magnificent and is really something to behold! Raft down the beautiful Rio Grande River with an experienced river guide, who provides all the necessary equipment - and expertise!
