FUTURE FLAG? | 20” x 24” x 1.5” acrylic and pencil on gallery profile splined canvas.

What does the flag of our future look like? What if the United States divided? What if efforts for particular states to secede succeeded? What if Greater Idaho and the State of Jefferson came into being? What if we took over Venezuela, Cuba, and Greenland? How many stars would we have then?

UNITY | 20” x 24” x 1.5” acrylic and pencil on gallery profile splined canvas.

A variation on the Moultrie flag designed by Colonel William Moultrie in 1775, flown to mark a key victory against the British navy in the American Revolutionary War. The original flag bears the word “LIBERTY” on the crescent in the upper left corner. In our current political climate, we ask: should personal liberty prevail over unity? Can any country or entity that values personal liberty over anything else remain cohesive and united?

So grateful for the opening last Friday at MYLR Gallery ! ✨ It was incredible to see so many people come out to experience the show, connect, and celebrate art together.

We are just a few days away from the opening of our show ICON IN FLUX, this Friday, June 5th at 5:30 PM at . Come for art, wine, friendship, a cool space, being downtown, getting out and about. Your support means the world to us!

Our pieces reflect on the American flag, both its history and its artistic qualities.

Making the pieces was fun. The flag lends itself to so many interpretations. It is graphically balanced, with striking colors. It is rich in symbolism. And, right now, it can connote a lot of emotions, of different kinds, for different people.

We went big in Texas, ya’ll! Tennis BFF Janessa and I had the *time* *of* *our* LIFE at Tennis Camp at , a outside Austin! It was a tennis shoe stomping’, kick servin’, clay slidin’, hootin’ & hollerin’ time!!! Shout out to Director of Racquet Sports Israel Castillo, amazing team Andrea, Alex, and Josh, and the entire staff that made us feel like cowgirl queens! Go get it!!

Though it’s closing its doors, my time at LAMORINDA Atelier in Orinda, CA was divine. It was an amazing opportunity to broaden my reach into a different market, and an excuse to visit the Bay Area for “work” 🥰 Right before it shuttered its doors, my original FLAG piece sold, which made me so happy- I was really proud of that piece. I still am.
