I’m going to go ahead and get this out there because after hearing back from about 95% of our vendors, I feel confident saying…

FALL MARKET IS OFFICIALLY RESCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 16TH + 17TH!

This decision has not come lightly.

There’s such a fine line between calling something too early when you know a storm can shift a little left or right…and waiting too long in hopes that the forecast changes.

But when you have 60 small businesses preparing for an event, many of them investing in perishable products, food, inventory, travel, and so much more, you simply can’t wait until the last minute and hope for the best.

The wind is really what made this decision for us. Rain can be worked around, but strong gusts are a different story when you have tents, displays, vendors, and hundreds of guests on the property. If you’ve been on that hill, you know.

I know firsthand what goes into running a small business. The late nights. The early mornings. The money invested before you ever know what the return will be. You prepare, you work, you pray the people come, and you hope they love what you’ve created.

That is exactly why this decision weighed so heavily on me.

At the end of the day, protecting our vendors, their inventory, and everyone coming to spend the weekend with us has to come first.

I am incredibly thankful for vendors who have been SO understanding and gracious, for a husband and business partner who keeps me grounded and covered in prayer through the hard decisions, and for the absolute best community that continues to show up for The Barn of Blooms.

And now for the good news…

Next weekend is looking BEAUTIFUL. ☀️🍂

Michaela’s mom here — I loved getting to witness these moments as Michaela saw her awards at the Inspire Academy art fair. She doesn’t always see her art the way I do (and the way so many of you do). She sees every detail she wants to improve, every skill she still wants to master, and how far she believes she has to go to reach her dreams as an artist…

But I see overwhelming talent in such a young lady. She is genuinely amazed when people compliment her work, and that humility makes me even prouder of her.
