Friends and Fellow Artists Appreciation Post!

1 of the challenges of running a table solo is not being able to step away very often. As much as I wanted to spend more time visiting and talking with everyone, I was pretty much anchored to my booth all weekend.

The last Spawn sketch cover of the weekend is officially SOLD!

Huge shoutout to my buddy Thomas for picking up this Gunslinger Spawn piece and for the continued support. It was awesome seeing this one find a home before the show wrapped up.

Out of the six sketch covers I brought to the convention, this was the final Spawn cover left on the table. The only sketch cover remaining from the weekend was Creature from the Black Lagoon! 🤘🏻

SOLD!

This Deadpool sketch cover did not last long today. I was still working on it when the doors opened, and almost immediately people started stopping by to check it out and talk about the piece. The interest was there from the start.

Once I put the finishing touches on it, the buyer was already waiting and ready to take it home.

Featuring Deadpool wielding Mjolnir, Thor’s legendary hammer, this sketch plays on one of the funniest moments in comics. Deadpool being worthy? A surprise to some. To others… maybe not so much.

A huge thank you to the collector who picked this one up today. Watching original art find a home never gets old.

Another commission sold!

A customer stopped by my booth with a request for a side profile Violator sketch cover. The only problem was that I had completely run out of blank Spawn covers. Luckily, the artist next to me had one available, so I got right to work.

A little over an hour later, this monster was finished and ready to head home with its new owner. I am really happy with how this piece turned out.

There is always something satisfying about finishing a commission right before the end of a show. A huge thank you to my customer for the support and for trusting me with this piece. Moments like these are what make conventions so rewarding.

Here’s a Joker sketch cover I finished today at Phoenix Fan Fusion. It didn’t stay on the table for long and was picked up by a lucky convention attendee just a few hours later.

Over the years, I’ve had so many people ask if I sell original artwork and one of a kind pieces. The good news is that I’m starting to create more sketch covers, giving collectors a chance to own unique, hand drawn originals.
