3 things to know before Thursday 👀

We’re almost here! Our Fall Opening Reception is this Thursday, Sept. 10, and we can’t wait to welcome you to the ASU Art Museum for a new season of art, community and celebration.

A few things before you join us:
✨ The artist lecture is officially at capacity. RSVP is now closed, with entry first come, first served as space becomes available.

✨ The museum will be closed Sept. 9-11 as we prepare for the celebration and our new season.

✨ Thursday is also your last chance to experience “Carmen Lomas Garza: Picturing the Familiar.” Come say goodbye to an exhibition that has brought so many of us together.

The night begins at 5:30 p.m. at Katzin Concert Hall, followed by the Fall Opening Reception at 6:30 p.m. at ASU Art Museum.

On Sept. 10, explore the shared language of art and sports and how athletic performance can be translated into visual form.

Join us at Katzin Concert Hall for “Art, Athletics, and the Marks We Make,” a special conversation with renowned artist William Wegman, NHL player and visual artist Jacob Trouba and ASU Art Museum Director Miki Garcia.

Then, head to the ASU Art Museum for our Fall Opening Reception, an evening of art, music and community celebrating a new season at the museum.
