I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend, but let's REMEMBER:
MESSAGE FROM THE VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION
May 24, 2024
Memorial Day
On Memorial Day, we pause to remember, honor, and pay tribute to those who were lost while defending the country.
Everyone who has worn the uniform and raised their hand, swearing to defend us, has understood the gravity of that commitment, and should never be forgotten.
Many generations have taken the solemn oath to protect our life and liberty—even today standing guard across our nation and the world.
This Memorial Day is especially significant, in that on June 6, the world will pause to remember the 80thAnniversary of D-Day.
On that fateful day, eighty years ago, thousands gave the ultimate measure of devotion and sacrifice paving the way for our freedom and prosperity. Let us remember and draw strength from their courage, commitment, and sacrifice.
We ask that you take a few solemn minutes to remember a loved one, or to share a story about someone who served, or you served with, in uniform on Memorial Day.
Whether you are caring for Veterans this weekend or participating in final salutes, we appreciate everything you are doing to make the day memorable in honor of their service.
