Do we love Jesus, or do we love what He gives us? 🤍
In John 6, people were looking for Jesus after He fed the five thousand. They had seen His miracles, experienced His provision, and had their fill of bread.
But Jesus knew their hearts.
“You are seeking Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves.”

And this makes us ask ourselves a difficult question…
Do we seek Jesus because we love Him, or because we love what He can do for us?
Do we come to Him because we want to be close to His heart, or because we need Him to fix something in our lives?
If the answer to our prayers was different from what we hoped for, would we still seek Him?
If He asked us to wait, would we still trust Him?
And if we didn’t receive what we prayed for, would He still be enough for us?
It’s easy to praise Him when the miracle happens, to worship Him when the door opens, and to feel close to Him when life goes our way.
But Jesus is more than the blessings He gives us. He’s more than the prayers He answers and the problems He solves.
He is the Bread of Life. And He is worthy of our love, even when we’re still waiting for an answer.
Maybe the question isn’t just Do I believe in Jesus?
Maybe it’s also: “If I couldn’t receive anything from Him, would I still choose Him?”🤍
Because Jesus doesn’t just want to be the One we run to when we need something. He wants us to know Him, love Him, and desire His presence above everything He can give us.
