Telluride Dance Collective & Palm Arts Present: 10th Annual Mass Movement!

Over the past 10 years, Mass Movement has taken place as an annual celebration of dance in our small mountain town. Telluride Dance Collective brings together local dancers and choreographers and also invite visiting choreographers and dancers from the region. Mass Movement is a celebration to find what moves you, whether you are on stage performing or participating as an audience member. This performance has been a platform and catalyst for the growth of the dance community here in Telluride. For the second year in a row, TDC is collaborating with Palm Arts Dance, inviting local youth to participate in their intergenerational celebration of community dance.

We’re thrilled that our Palm Arts Dance intermediate, middle, and high school ballet dancers get to be a part of this performance as well, as they’ll be performing a few pieces throughout the show!

Join us for a magical performance of Cinderella presented by Colorado West Ballet on Saturday, March 28th at 7pm at the Michael D. Palm Theatre!

This premier professional ballet company from Grand Junction will captivate audiences with their artistry in this graceful and whimsical classic fairytale. We’re especially excited that Palm Arts Dance intermediate, middle, and high school ballet dancers have been invited to perform alongside the professionals, dancing to selections by composer Sergei Prokofiev throughout the evening. This marks the second year that Colorado West Ballet has offered this special opportunity for our local dancers!

Doors open at 6:30pm and the performance begins promptly at 7pm. General admission seating. Concessions will be open.

This screening takes place just days after International Holocaust Remembrance Day (1/27) and explores the historic Nuremberg Trials.

Following the film, stay for a taped conversation with Jack El-Hai, author of the book behind the film, and Telluride local, Katie Triest, granddaughter of the Nuremberg Trials translator featured in the story. Moderated by Stephanie Rosen.

Join us for the timeless story of Alice as she tumbles down a rabbit hole into a whimsical world filled with curious creatures and nonsensical adventures. A dreamlike escape into the imagination, brought to life by over 100 local dancers in our Palm Arts Dance program! 🩰✨

There are two chances to see this magical show on Saturday, December 13th at 6pm, and on Sunday, December 14th at 2pm at the Michael D. Palm Theatre.
