The Palm Theatre and Palm Arts would like to extend special thanks to the Telluride School District, Planet Bluegrass, Camp Alderwild, Telluride Film Festival, Telluride Historical Museum, and everyone else who kept the faith while we have navigated unbelievable odds to be able to reopen August 28th for two incredible nights of EDM! Much work remains, but we are functional, and so appreciative of all the support! We hope to see everyone tonight for the Historical Museum’s annual fundraiser with Ken Burns! Come support! ❤️

We are thrilled to be the first stop on AVID’s Season III Tour!
Join us on July 11th, an evening of movement, music, creativity, and community. Three distinctly different pieces bring artists from all over the country together to share their passion and creativity with our audience.

In an exciting World Premiere, step into Choreograper Melody Mennite’s (Melody Mennite ) world of “The Wolff” where things are not always what they seem.

“The Center Does Not Hold” by Choreographer Daniel Ojeda (Daniel Francis Ojeda ) and Composer Kebra-Seyoun Charles (Kebra-Seyoun Charles ) seek to understand the dynamics of extreme polarization in dance, the juxtaposition between aesthetic art form and human experience.

Finally, audiences will experience Gerald Arpino’s (The Gerald Arpino Foundation )
“Valentine”, a quirky and humorous take on the battle of the sexes using a boxing arena as the setting for staccato and contemporary movement.
(Performed by courtesy of the Arpino Foundation).

Movie night coming up at the Palm!

Fresh from its world premiere in the 2026 Mountainfilm Festival’s Wild Shorts program, The Mountain Ark: A Ken Bailey Film returns by popular demand in its full 60-minute version for its first public screening.
The Mountain Ark follows one of Telluride’s most beloved characters, Lissa Margetts, through a day at her wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary. Fiercely independent and deeply connected to animals, she navigates moments of rescue, loss, and unexpected joy, revealing a life devoted to healing, community, and the fragile bond between humans and the wild.
The evening will also feature a collection of films celebrating memorable Telluride characters, public safety and educational films produced through Ken Bailey’s nonprofit, The lisA Project, and some of his most iconic work capturing the power, beauty, and drama of avalanches.

Over the past 10 years, Mass Movement has taken place as an annual celebration of dance in our small mountain town. Telluride Dance Collective brings together local dancers and choreographers and also invite visiting choreographers and dancers from the region. Mass Movement is a celebration to find what moves you, whether you are on stage performing or participating as an audience member. This performance has been a platform and catalyst for the growth of the dance community here in Telluride. For the second year in a row, TDC is collaborating with Palm Arts Dance, inviting local youth to participate in their intergenerational celebration of community dance.
