Telluride Raqs Tribal Fusion Bellydance -Tempest Memphis Bellydance

Through my adolescent years I took classes in ballet, contemporary dance and tap. I competed in both dance and USGF Gymnastics competitions, while blending the two art forms in my floor exercise choreography. I started my 27 year career of teaching gymnastics to children before graduating from high school. In college, I actively participated in open lessons for Swing dance, Merengue, Bachata, and

Salsa. I fell in love these Latin style dances during my three years of living in South America. Since returning to the USA in 2006, I became fascinated with the graceful, rhythmic dance form of Tribal Fusion Bellydance. Then in 2007, I started performing professionally as a Bellydancer at several venues. I also began teaching classes in beginning, intermediate, advanced, cardio Bellydancing, as well as poi, and veil poi. I happily began choreographing individual and group dances in 2009. In 2010, I was introduced to aerial silk, a gymnastics routine performed while suspended several feet off the ground. I had the joy of being a featured performer in the Lavinnia London Cabaret for several years as a aerial silk artist. I thoroughly enjoy the total body control and fitness levels I achieve through both my dance and aerial silk routines. In 2015, I had the honor to teach and lead the Shimmy Mob bonus dance for our local shows. I have had the pleasure of training in numerous different dance styles as well as Bellydance styles.
