As May comes to a close I need to take a minute to brag about this beautiful human. Balee, you are so kind and compassionate, and I am grateful to have gotten the chance to know you better.

Taking on an intern is an opportunity to teach work ethic and valuable life skills. It is, for me, a chance to watch character growth and to encourage independent and strong women into the world.

Thank you for sticking with me, as I know I can be an unconventional role model. I cannot wait to see you mature and blossom in the next chapter of your adventures.

I had a meeting approximately four years ago, infant Henry on my lap— and chatted out the concept for this historical mural on the South wall of the Dauby Hardware building on 11th Street. I will share more soon about the design, but for now just 👀 that sign 🪧
