Our Hoot Gibson Rodeo Princess, Macie, recently had the opportunity to attend the Buffalo Bill Rodeo in North Platte, Nebraska, and what an unforgettable experience it was!

During her time there, Macie had the honor of meeting Miss Rodeo America, Olivia Favero, as well as John Cook. She participated in Grand Entry each night and enjoyed seeing a different side of the rodeo industry while representing Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo. Macie also got to witness the crowning of the new 2027 Miss rodeo Nebraska Kelsey Hutton! Congratulations Kelsey!

When she wasn’t at the rodeo grounds, Macie spent time shopping, riding horses ba****ck with friends, and making memories that will last a lifetime. One of her favorite parts of the trip was getting to ride with friends before and after the rodeo. The laughter, conversations, and friendships made the experience even more special.

Macie traveled with Little Miss Wahoo Rodeo, Macadia Soll, and enjoyed spending time with friends, including Monroe Johnson. She also got to visit the famous Sinclair dinosaur and, of course, sample plenty of rodeo food including the brisket mac and cheese, which she says was amazing!

Beyond the fun, Macie learned so much from the queens and royalty members she met throughout the week. Hearing their stories and experiencing a larger rodeo gave her a greater appreciation for the sport and the opportunities that come with being rodeo royalty.

Thank you, Buffalo Bill Rodeo, for the memories, friendships, and experiences. We are so proud of Macie and the way she continues to represent the Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo and our community wherever she goes! ❤️🤠👑

The Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo is currently seeking event sponsors for next years rodeo, and we invite businesses and individuals to be part of this special tradition.

An event sponsor is a business or individual who chooses to sponsor a specific rodeo event during both nights of the rodeo. Sponsorship opportunities include crowd-favorite events such as bull riding, breakaway roping, and tie-down roping and more!

As an event sponsor, your name will be prominently featured in the arena. A custom sponsor flag will be created and carried through the arena prior to the start of your sponsored event, and your business or name will be announced as the official event sponsor. In addition to this recognition, sponsors are compensated with rodeo tickets, social media recognition and the promotion of your great business. This provides the opportunity to attend and enjoy the event with clients, employees, family, or friends.

This partnership offers meaningful visibility while demonstrating your support for our rodeo, our contestants, and our community. Our sponsors play a vital role in making this event possible, and we are truly grateful for their involvement. If you are interested in becoming an event sponsor, we would love to connect with you.

Please message us if you would like to become an event sponsor!

Our Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Princess, Macie, had a wonderful time representing our rodeo at the Clarkson Rodeo this past week!

Macie proudly rode in the grand entry carrying the American flag and even lent a helping hand by pushing cattle throughout the rodeo. We love seeing our royalty step up and get involved wherever they go!

Can we also take a moment to appreciate the Hoot Gibson crown and chaps? Our lovely chaps are sponsored by Buckin Bucks of Newcastle, NE (Mobile ATM service) and the crown sponsored by Burt/Washington County Ducks Unlimited and Scott Olson of Tekamah, NE!

The combination of our beautiful new royalty gear and Macie’s smile makes for a picture perfect representation of our rodeo. She wears them with pride and represents the Hoot Gibson family so well.

Thank you, Macie, for continuing to promote our rodeo and western heritage with such enthusiasm. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see where your reign takes you next! ❤️🤠👑

Today our Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Queen had the opportunity to ride in the Mondamin Heritage Days Parade! 🎉

She proudly represented our rodeo while riding with her drill team, the Loess Hills Heatwave Drill Team. We love seeing our royalty out in the community sharing their passion for horses and western heritage!

Hello everyone!

My name is Macie Middlebrooks, and I am 13 years old. I will be an 8th grader at Fremont Middle School this fall.

My horse, Taxie, is an 8-year-old buckskin, and we’ve been riding together for almost three years. She loves to run, and so do I, which makes us the perfect team!

Taxie and I are members of the Wahoo Thundering Hooves Drill Team, compete in barrel racing at local rodeos, and participate in my local 4-H club. Through these experiences, I have learned that success comes from hard work, dedication, and the determination to achieve your goals.

I am incredibly excited for the upcoming rodeo season and all the opportunities that come with serving as the Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Princess. I look forward to meeting new people, representing the rodeo community, and sharing my passion for horses wherever I go.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. I can’t wait to see you at an arena near you!

Hello everyone! My name is Cate Brunow, and I am 15 years old. I will be a sophomore at Woodbine High School this fall.

I have loved horses for as long as I can remember. In fact, when I was just 18 months old, my parents made the mistake of putting me on a horse for the very first time—and they’ve been stuck with my horse obsession ever since!

I am an active member of my local 4-H club, where I show horses and participate in a variety of other projects. Recently, I discovered a second passion through my school’s Marine Corps JROTC program, which has taught me valuable lessons in leadership, discipline, and teamwork.

I have looked up to rodeo queens my entire life, so having the opportunity to serve as your 2026 Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Queen is truly a dream come true. I am incredibly honored and grateful to begin this journey, and I am so excited to share this year with all of you.

Thank you for your support, and I can’t wait for all the memories and adventures that lie ahead! ❤️👑🐴
