🐴✨ A BUSY WEEKEND FOR OUR QUEEN! 👑

Our Queen Cate has been on the go, and what an adventure it has been! 🤠

Cate spent the week at Tien Quarter Horses in Prairie View, Kansas, getting a firsthand look at what goes into the equine reproduction industry. She jumped right in and helped wherever she could — from cleaning stalls and washing horses to riding, doing chores, and even helping halter break a c**t! 🐴❤️ Of course, we had to get a few pictures of our queen in her rodeo gear with her little c**t friend! 😅👑

On her way home from Kansas, Cate made a stop in Kearney at the therapeutic horseback riding show, where she had the opportunity to sign autographs, take pictures, and hand out medals to some amazing riders. What a special experience! 🏅🐎

AND THEN… because apparently one adventure wasn’t enough… 😂 Cate stopped at the Archway in Kearney to learn a little more about Nebraska history! 🌾📚

From learning about the equine industry, getting her hands dirty, supporting therapeutic riders, and learning about our great state — our Queen Cate is making the most of every opportunity!

We are so proud of you, Cate! Keep learning, keep helping, and keep representing the Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo wherever you go! 👑♥️🐴

🐴A Little Horsepower in Magnolia! 🇺🇸

Our Queen Cate Brunow made her way to Magnolia, Iowa over the weekend to ride in the Old Settlers Parade! 🎉

Cate was joined by a friend, and together they represented the rodeo in style! They may have been the only two horses in the entire parade, but that certainly didn’t stop them from having a BLAST! 🐎❤️

We love seeing our royalty out in the community, making memories, meeting new people, and proudly representing the Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo wherever they go!

Thank you, Cate, for always showing up and representing us with such heart! We’re so proud of you! 👑🐴

Our Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Princess, Macie, spent Sunday, August 2, representing our rodeo family at the Tekamah Sweet Corn Festival, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

The Tri-County Saddle Club was honored to be selected as a Week of Giving recipient, and Macie was right there alongside us, helping sell pop and pickles, visiting with members of our community, and sharing smiles with everyone who stopped by our booth.

Having Macie there meant so much to our club. Her willingness to give back, support our fundraising efforts, and connect with our community is exactly what being Hoot Gibson royalty is all about. We are incredibly proud of the young lady she is and thankful she chose to spend part of her Sunday serving alongside us.

Thank you, Macie, for your heart, your kindness, and your dedication to the Tri-County Saddle Club and the Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo. We’re so proud to have you as our princess! 💙🤍🌽👑

This past weekend, our 2026 Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Queen, Cate Brunow, traveled to Troy, Kansas, to represent Hoot Gibson and the great state of Nebraska at the Doniphan County Rodeo!

Cate attended alongside the Loess Hills Heatwave Drill Team, where she proudly performed with her team throughout the weekend. In addition to her drill performances, she spent time queening, pushing cattle, and representing Hoot Gibson with grace and professionalism everywhere she went.

She was also joined by Miss Nebraska Cowgirl Princess, AvaLynn Swassing, and together they had an unforgettable weekend making memories, meeting new people, and celebrating their love of rodeo.

We are incredibly proud of Cate for the dedication she continues to show not only to Hoot Gibson, but to the sport of rodeo and the western way of life. Watching our queen travel, perform with the Loess Hills Heatwave Drill Team, and serve as an ambassador for Nebraska is something truly special.

Way to go, Cate! Thank you for representing Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo with such pride. We can’t wait to see where your next adventure takes you! ❤️

The Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo is more than just a rodeo, it’s a tradition, a gathering place, and a piece of our community’s history. ❤️

We are incredibly honored to have been selected as a recipient of funding through Tekamah’s Week of Giving, hosted by the Tekamah Chamber of Commerce.

Every June, families, friends, volunteers, contestants, and spectators come together to celebrate a tradition that has brought our community together for generations. None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our community.

The funds raised through Week of Giving will go directly toward improving our facilities, helping us create a safer, more welcoming, and more enjoyable experience for everyone who walks through our gates. Every improvement we make is an investment in the future of this rodeo and in the memories that will be made here for years to come.

Whether you’ve competed in our arena, cheered from the grandstands, volunteered behind the scenes, or simply made the Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo part of your summer tradition, this rodeo belongs to all of us.

We ask for your support as we continue preserving this special tradition for future generations. Every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement helps us continue the legacy.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in our rodeo, our volunteers, and our community. We couldn’t do it without you. 🤍🤠

There’s nothing we love more than seeing our royalty represent both the rodeo arena and their communities!

Our 2026 Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Queen, Cate Brunow, is a proud member of Harrison County 4-H in Iowa. This past weekend, she competed in the Harrison County Fair Horse Show, where she and her horses earned several awards. We couldn’t be more proud of all the hard work and dedication she puts into her horses!

As if that wasn’t enough, Cate also participated in the fair’s horse costume contest… and dressed up as none other than a rodeo queen! 👑🐴 We absolutely love the creativity and think she wore the title perfectly.

Cate, thank you for representing Hoot Gibson with grace, kindness, and dedication wherever you go! Congratulations on a fantastic weekend ❤️

What an incredible weekend for our 2026 Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Princess, Macie Middlebrooks! 🤍👑🐴

Macie spent all three days at the Wahoo Rodeo, proudly representing the Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Royalty Program while also performing with her drill team. She also had the opportunity to attend the Wahoo Rodeo Royalty Pageant, where she met and connected with fellow rodeo royalty and experienced a pageant from a whole new perspective.

One thing that really stood out to Macie was the heart behind the rodeo. She shared how special it was to be behind the chutes and bleachers this year, seeing all the hard work, dedication, and love that goes into making a rodeo happen. It’s something that gave her an even greater appreciation for the sport we all love.

Wahoo also holds a special place in Macie’s heart—it was the very first rodeo she attended after moving to the area. To now be there as rodeo royalty, representing both our rodeo and her drill team, made the weekend even more meaningful.

Congratulations to the newly crowned 2026 Wahoo Rodeo Royalty! We know you’ll have an amazing year representing your rodeo and community. ❤️

Macie, we are so proud of the young lady you are becoming. Thank you for representing the Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo with such grace, kindness, and enthusiasm everywhere you go. Keep chasing your dreams—we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! 💙✨

This weekend, our Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Queen, Cate Brunow, and Princess, Macie Middlebrooks, had the honor of attending the Wahoo Rodeo Royalty Pageant!

While they weren’t competing, they played an important role by helping the contestants throughout the day and showcasing their own modeling skills for the contestants and spectators to see. It was such a wonderful opportunity for them to represent our rodeo with confidence, kindness, and grace. A huge thank you to the Wahoo Rodeo Royalty for welcoming our girls!🩷

And can we talk about this picture of the two of them together? 🥹❤️ Moments like these remind me just how special this program is.

Cate and Macie, we are so incredibly proud of you both. You carried yourselves with elegance, encouraged those around you, and represented the Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo beautifully. Thank you for being such wonderful ambassadors for our rodeo and community. Keep shining—you make us proud every step of the way! 🤍👑 stay tuned for more to come! These ladies had a BUSY weekend!!

Sometimes the best parade memories are the ones you never plan for!

On Sunday, Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo royalty Queen Cate Brunow, Princess Macie Middlebrooks, and Queen Coordinator Megan Olson-Trube had the honor of riding in the Burt County Fair Parade in Oakland.

I have to admit… our horses were running a little behind, and I definitely overestimated how much time we had before lining up. By the time we arrived, the parade had already started, and we found ourselves trotting to catch up with the last float!😅

But something incredible happened.

As we made our way down the street, the cheers started pouring in. Even though some people had already begun packing up, they stopped and stayed to wave, clap, and cheer us on as we rode by. It was such a heartwarming reminder of just how much people love seeing horses in a parade. The excitement and encouragement from the crowd made us forget all about being late!

Thank you, Oakland, for such a warm welcome and for showing our royalty so much kindness. Your smiles, waves, and cheers meant the world to us. ❤️
