Rehearsal night new tunes

Joe Satriani - Ten Words

10/15/2026

Up here in Tehachapi, fall/winter usher in less band gigs so I always like to use this time to work up a bunch of new songs every year to freshen up all we do.

Still working on a potential NYE gig and looking forward to 2027. Seems like 2026 just flew by in mere seconds, had some of our biggest events for MGB and 2027 is already looking to out do 2026. Some things never rest or at least not for very long.

Here’s three songs up for tonight’s rehearsal and see how all goes 😉

1. She sells sanctuary- The Cult
2. Ten Words - Joe Satriani
3. Mmm mmmm - Crash Test Dummies

Finally we’re in!!! Hard Rock Cafe Tejon Jan 14th 2027 MGB

Little over a year ago we created a vision of what MGB wanted to do and accomplish as we’re always reinventing what we do. Grateful now stay on target! Good things happen with hard work and a focused goal.

Thank you all for helping us get there!

We’ve been getting tagged as emerging artists only took us 60-70 years if we go by band members ages 😉 yet that only happens when you all respond follow like and rock with us so YOU are ALL hugely appreciated!

Never underestimate old dudes and their favorite instrument and tunes.

Thank you!!!

MGB played at The Ranch last night. Really glad to see this venue open again, we played there many times in the past as Big Papa’s Steakhouse.

They did a nice job on the make over and adding a stage plus house pa. We have always loved the sound of this room something about it is like just the right size and ambience. Feels great.

Owner was extremely gracious and we look forward to many more events with MGB there to even solo or duo gigs on acoustic.

Not sure but we may have been the first band there since the opening with more than 2 people on the stage.

Still looking for photos or video from last night but haven’t spotted any yet. Share if you have it.

Huge thanks to all that came out as it was a last minute with little time to get the news out yet still saw a lot of friends so your all hugely appreciated.

We did not get to try any food as it was a late night 9-12 gig and they wanted to rock so no dinner set 😉 straight to business on the dance floor .

Thank you all and thank you The Ranch.
Looking forward to many good times there.

Wow, Tehachapi—you made our day! MGB was voted Best Band in the Tehachapi News Readers’ Choice awards, and we’re grateful to everyone who voted for us.

There’s something special about playing for your own community. Thank you for singing along, dancing, showing up for local music, and making us feel at home every time we take the stage. Thanks, too, to the venues and event organizers who bring us together, and to the Tehachapi News for celebrating our community.

We’re proud to be your Best Band. See you at the next show!
