NEW JERSEY SINGERS: A classic & one of the most timeless tracks ever to be played on the rare soul scene. New Jersey outfit the Spellbinders were a mixed male/female quintet comprising of Bobby Shivers, James Wright, Ben Grant, McArthur Munford, and Elouise Pennington, they signed with Columbia Records in 1965 and befriended Van McCoy to write and produce for them. After releasing one of the best soul albums of all time, "The Magic Of The Spellbinders" they mysteriously faded into obscurity, although Bobby Shivers owns the name Spellbinders and still performs with three backing singers in the US and the UK.
This gem was written by Ken Williams & arranged by Van McCoy, from 1966 "Help Me (Get Myself Back Together Again)".
