You might not believe it because she looks so young, but I’ve known little Mooshi for a LONG time. I remember when I could fit her in my coat pocket. Now she likes to stand next to her food bowl and yell pitifully like she hasn’t been fed in DAYS. Mooshi, we’re pretty sure your parents don’t normally feed you at 2 am so quit your hollering. You can wait til breakfast! Check out the extremely pet-able, soft texture of her sparse fur!

And for my fellow painters reading this, I’ve included a little process time-lapse as a reminder that you’ve just gotta push through the “Ugly Phase”! I decided to lay down a dark green as Schedel’s base tone instead of my usual yellow ochre, and as you can see- it had him looking like Frankenstein’s Monster for a bit! I think it paid off in the end, though.

Every year- in the month of December- I will be breathlessly contacted by people asking if I could possibly create a custom-painted portrait of their spouse, children, or pet in time for Christmas! I usually have to respond that sadly, no- my slate is already filled and anyway- what are they doing waiting until the very last minute? But I get it- the holiday season sneaks up on all of us.

My standard 11“x14”s are usually $500- which means with this special deal you’ll get a full $100 off! Avoid disappointment this year and commission an original work of art that they will treasure for a lifetime!
