Guests with Polar Express tickets should plan to arrive our Eustis, FL departure site** an hour ahead of your scheduled train departure.
The times listed on our calendar and your tickets are the exact departure times for each train. Our arrival show and boarding begin twenty (20) minutes prior to the departure time.
If you are not checked-in and boarded by the time of departure you will have to reschedule to another available departure time or date.
Please note that there are no refunds given to parties who miss their scheduled departure time. Keep this in mind when planning your arrival in Eustis to ensure ample time to check in and enjoy the pre-boarding festivities!

This is located one block east of the tracks in the downtown area, and please be considerate of the parking reserved for patrons of El Marie Pizza and Subs, located near the tracks. Ample parking is available.

Welcome to the Royal Palm Railway Experience on central Florida’s premier tourist railroad, the Orlando & Northwestern Railway! Based in Tavares, FL,, “America’s Seaplane City”, in the region known as the “Golden Triangle”, the Royal Palm Railway Experience is only a short 30-mile drive northwest from Orlando!
Hop onboard our fleet of beautifully restored, 1940s vintage lightweight passenger cars for a journey back in time - a time before interstate highways - a time when famous passenger trains with names like The Champion, City of Miami, Southern Crescent, Seminole, Southwind, and of course, the Royal Palm, crossed the nation, north to south, east to west, carrying their occupants to far-flung destinations for well-deserved family vacations and business, as well. Passengers enjoyed riding through the countryside in coaches, sleeping cars, lounges and diners that were at the height of efficiency, comfort and beauty! Now, you can, too!
The Royal Palm fleet is fully climate controlled with cool air conditioning to beat the heat of Florida’s scorching Summers, while the comfortable warmth of electric heat takes the chill off in Winter! Select cars have been modified to accommodate those with mobility issues, so please ask about availability when making your reservations. Regular service on the “Golden Triangle Route” varies on a seasonal basis, so check the website for current schedule information.
The Royal Palm Railway Experience is also home to special themed event trains, including the popular THE WIZARD OF OZ™ Train Ride, and THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride.
