Boston-based rock trio The Something has been very busy writing and recording new material at Songs4Everybody studio for an ambitious new project, which is out TODAY on all streaming platforms! The objective is 4 EPs spanning 2025 into early 2026. Each comprised of 4 tracks – including 3 songs primarily written by each individual member of the band with the fourth being a song composed by the group together. This collective, represented by the title FOUR SIDES OF THE ETERNAL TRIANGLE, will result in 16 songs over 4 EP `sides’.
The theoretical `4th side’ of a triangle was mathematically proven to be feasible by B.F Sherman in 1993. `4 Sides of the Eternal Triangle’ is also the title John Lennon had originally considered for The Beatles, `Revolver’ album title however was scrapped.
While THE SOMETHING has been consistently offering original singles and cover songs in recent years, we have not released an album collection since 2015’s `Toughen Up!’. Born from a surplus of songs written individually AND as a group as of late, we decided this would be a means to showcase our personal songwriting styles, while contributing to each other’s individual compositions giving each track that unique `THE SOMETHING’ sound.
